Yak for Simmonds and Schenn is a tough one to say yes to, but the value is probably there. I see no point in adding Smid and Coburn. If we were going to add a D man I would rather it be Schenn.

I like Coburn, but not necessarily for Smid, and I'd much rather target Couturier than Schenn, although even with Couts I'm not dealing Yak.
Please people watch Philly and Couturier on center ice so you all can see the guy who seems to be coveted in here all from hype. Your opinions would change fast.

Pitlick could be a half decent 3rd liner who at can at least lean on other teams' defencemen. I like the simplicity of his game.

How so? Columbus was a terrible team for most of Nash's tenure. Pretty sure them having one star didn't make them a better team, and probably they could have improved by trading Nash for better depth, IF they could get a good enough deal, which I really can't speak to.

Don't get me wrong, trading away your one big star may very well have been the wrong move from a marketing perspective and this is a business, but I'm pretty sure that you can't argue that a really awful team is being "smart" by keeping him. It's not like Nash turned a bad team into a good one.

Why are people surprised we won? We finally started getting goaltending last week to go along with all sorts of guys chipping in offensively.

As for trading him, not a chance.

One plus, maybe, but nothing significant...adding twice, laughable. Would you have traded Hall last year? Kid is a beast when he's on his game. Even when he's off (like many are claiming now) he's a PPG player. His giveaways will be reduced with time, and his all around game will get better as he matures. He's only 21 and has finished top 10 in scoring. You don't just trade guys like that because his team beat the Habs, that we're far from a complete squad, without him. It doesn't make much sense if you ask me. Did you forget that Hopkins plays for this team, or did you trade him too?

Win, lose or draw.

TRADE THE SUPERSTARS!!!!!!

EA SPORTS has made people obsessed with trading.

As a fan, I'd prefer that my team have the better player.

Why is Philly giving up Hartnell for two guys they could've had on waivers?

That's just how Holmgren rolls. I think he's due for a brutal trade. We need IN on that action!

I'd trade Hall for a Subban-esque player. Or a Giroux. But that's about it

You would trade Hall for Giroux at this stage? Giroux is showing signs of regressing. 3 points, no goals this year.

I accidentally penciled in arcobello instead of nuge. Yea I'm aware that hall finished in the top 10 in scoring but did you know that we didn't make playoffs? As far as his progression goes, it isn't some video game where he's going to show linear growth. Every player develops differently and they all don't progress in every aspect some actually regress in a few areas. Your supporting argument is pure optimism. You have to give something to get something

This is in french and my french sucks, however, from what I can understand this package is fantastic.

Coburn, Schenn, Couturier and Simmonds for Yakupov, Smid and Hemsky.

I would do this, no problem.

is that an internet rumor? or an actual rumor? IMO if the oilers didn't take this trade if it were on the table they would be nuts.

which schenn?

I'd rather keep one of Hemsky or Yak and drop Couts.

I'd say, the way he is currently playing, Hemmer is the best player in the deal, also, yak has the best upside and the best shot, and both smid and coburn are struggling a bit so thats not a guaranteed upgrade.

I like Simmonds and Brayden Schenn....but not at the expense of both those wingers.

Yeah, I would do this no problem too, then flip Arcobello somewhere for some more defensive help.
