Second Favorite Team?

Of course our first is always gonna be our noble Sens.. but around the league to you have another team you can't help but like?

For me it's the Montreal Canadiens. I know people say their fans can be *****, but you can't help but like the Habs' game: quick, tons of come-from-behind wins, great goaltending battles...

Also, I might be biased because of our common enemy in Toronto... but Toronto's horrible.

Every team. I am a die hard Sens fan but I enjoy watching any team play at all levels. I love hockey and enjoy all the players and the different skill sets they bring. I love knowing the farm systems of every team inside and out and watching players develop who I think will be good from a young age and seeing if my projections turned out to be true. Thats why I love my FHL team so much because its sim based on NHL stats and you really need to know your hockey to be competitive in the league I am in.

I have a lot of respect for Edmonton. They work hard, work as a team and play an exciting game.

I wish Dallas were more fun to watch since I live here. They win a lot of games, but they win like we used to win from 1996-2001. Great team defense, close games but not too much creativity on offense.

Probably Colorado, Nashville, or LA.

As some know, I was a Rangers fan before being a Sens fan, so I still have some feelings for that team (particularly former franchise player, Brian Leetch).

I also like Edmonton for the style that they play. Speedy forwards, grit in Smyth and Smith and they play with a certain flash and dash at times.

It's a shame that Pronger left because he was the ultimate addition to that team given their strengths and weaknesses.

Well, right now it's Chicago Blackhawks for fairly obvious reasons...

...Before Chicago though my second fave team was Vancouver. So they would be my third fave now.

I also have a fondness for Nashville, Colorado, Edmonton, and Montreal.

2nd- Pittsburgh
3rd - Sharks

When I moved to Montreal from Dartmouth in 1989 my cousin was playing AAA midget and got me interested in hockey. He was a Lemieux fan and I just picked it up from him and followed the Pens. Lemieux was an icon just like Crosby is in Nova Scotia. So essentially I was a Pens fan first because of watching him on tv. Then I moved again when the Sens and Sharks formed and I became a fan of them since they had no history.

Well, I'm a Sens & Thrash fan. Can't really say that either one is my second team because I follow both.

I like a few teams the Habs, the Oilers, the Sharks, the Preds, the Blues & the Hawks. None of these is my "2nd team" actually.

New Jersey used to be my favorite team, but right now I doubt I'd even call them my second favorite. Buffalo is always fun to watch I have to admit and I was a big fan of theirs in the Hasek days. Some teams I like, but they are a bit boring to watch. I don't want to really call Buffalo my second favorite though... cuz man was that first game of the playoffs last year tough to watch, but they probably are. Calgary and Edmonton I like too.

Vancouver - since I've moved here from the Island, I inevitably got caught up with the Canucks fever when they were decent. Depressing team to watch this year, though - they really don't have much finish at all.

I like the Sabres and the Flames. I gained a lot of respec fpr the way the Sabres played against us in the playoffs last year. They are really exciting to watch. As for the Flames, I like watching Iginla, Kipper and Phaneuf play.

If they were the 2 teams in the ECFs, who would you cheer for?

Mine would be the other 4 Canadian teams (yes I know there are 5 others), and Pittsburgh (I enjoy watching the young kids).

I'm from Dartmouth too (moved to Ottawa in 95) and yes,Pittsburgh is my second favorite now, followed by the Flyers who were my faves (loved the Broad Street Bullies) before the Sens were formed.I also like the Thrashers, they can be a pretty exciting team to watch.

I was a Chicago fan in my younger days, although I've been a sens fan since I was quite young....So I still have a soft spot for them. It doesn't hurt that Havlat and Smolie are there now.

Ottawa by far is first, but since 2 summers ago my second favourite team has been the Atlanta Thrashers (can you guess why?). I also like Edmonton because of their offensive players and from when I was younger seeing their great battles with Dallas.

I don't really care that much about how other team do... but I'll admit, I got behind Anaheim, Calgary and Edmonton on all of their playoff runs. It really made me like a lot of the individual players on each team.

EDIT: Of course, I wanted Anaheim to make it to the finals because I knew we would've wooped them after we got by NJ...

Right now, Anaheim and Pittsburgh are the other teams I like... I wish we got to see some of the west teams a bit more.

I used to follow Vancouver more, but now I find I'm rooting for Chicago because of Havlat, and because the fans there haven't had much to cheer about for awhile.

Use to be Edmonton, but the fans annoy me now.

the oilers. i may be american, but i respect the game and it's place. i love the history the have out there. sure, montreal has more, but the oilers are out west. so i can cheer for them during the season. if the sens met the oilers in the series...ouch! sens of course, but i still like the oilers and what they have up there..

Anaheim.

They were my favourite team until a few years ago, when I finally caught Sens fever.
