Based on strong play so far, it's no surprise PIT is keeping Olli Maatta in the NHL. Nice get for Pens at No. 22 overall in 2012 NHL draft.

Renaud Lavoie ‏@LavoieRenaud 1m
George Parros on the ice at morning skate. #canadiens

It's a flat out embarrassment that John Scott is playing in the NHL.

Boston is a big, tough team. I thought if you have this type of team, your players aren't going to be subjected to dirty hits like this....I'm so confused!

... so why has he never been suspended before?

Because is usually too slow and ineffective to actually get on the ice and catch up to a real NHL player. Ron Rolston is just a coach who is in over his head so is actually playing him.

Hall has more suspensions than Scott, would you consider him dirtier?

The sabres are a clownshow and the league needs to throw the book at them.

Please tell me what he brings to the league and to his team. They're 1-9-1 so whatever it is...it isn't working.

As bad as we are right now, I'm terrified to see what happens to Nashville over the next four weeks. Rinne's out for four weeks. This is going to torpedo my hockey pool.

On the flip side if they don't drop everyone is going to want their backup.

Kaleta has already served 6 of 10 Games. The appeal and potential appeal to neutral arbitrator isn't about games, it's about money.$152,000.

So I can get him going for that money and all, but what the hell happens if he misses all 10 games and arbitrator decides that the suspension should've only been 5 games? Is this not going to become a legal mess where a team can say because of this suspension you cost us wins?

Of course Kaleta probably doesn't have the impact, but does the law care? What if it were a star player?

Meh, it would never have happened if the league had thrown the book at lucic for his hit on miller, but they didn't. So reap what they sow.

They should throw that book at idiots that put themselves in that much danger in the first place.

You wouldn't run across a highway while it's rush hour and traffic is flowing, so why the heck do goalies come that far out to play the puck when a player is coming full speed ahead?

The type of pressure the Sharks are generating in the offensive zone against a veteran Boston team is absurd. Consistent cycling and a plethora of quality shots.

Color me impressed with how they are playing right now.

Would love to have Jagr on our team. Two defenders couldn't push him off the puck and he still made a play with it!

Bruins vs sharks was a crazy game, Krejci scores with 0.8 seconds to go in regulation to end the Sharks streak.

The Canucks have become a very boring team to watch. One line team, but they get it done. They are not going anywhere in the playoffs.

They are top heavy, like the Oilers. Also, Torts.

Coyotes come back from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game. Wow.

When tickets went on sale this year I nabbed both SJ games. Surprising how easy they were to get.

SJ is the best team to watch in the world right now.

Still tickets available for both games here. Sharks are extremely entertaining.

Strangest thing is Sharks games are priced in lower bracket. Its oddly considered a non premium game here. Best value there is.

Sharks are great. When they killed the rangers this year one of the rangers on the ice jokingly told Thirnton "it seems like there are 8 of you out here all of the time "

Lol. It was very close to that quote

Teams like the Sharks are amazing to watch. Every pass and play is made with a purpose.

I wish somebody pvrd their game and compared it to how many times we have the puck up.

Terrible puck management on our team

Possibly the best team that has never won anything. They just get out on the ice and own the puck. Entire periods look like PP. Theres glimpses of Montreal Canadiens 1970's type dominance except not with any consistency. But when the Sharks are playing well they're hard to touch.
