Not good, not good at all.

So much for it being just an illness or family issue.......

Shady as ****, shouldn't have brought him back this soon either, did we send him to the best specialist in the world for this surgery ? what a waste of money if this turns out to be chronic (which it more than likely will)

We know very little at this point so I would hold off on being to down about it. Wait and see what the news is and then we can complain/rejoice.

Not good. Typically, once they see docs, even the best news can take out players for a week or two. Hopefully, it's limited time.

I was optimistic early but that is some ****** news.

Really ****** news. I had confidence in Hutton for a week or so but a month at least is a bit much. Lets see how great Korn really is.

Sam Reinhart BABY!!! Or at the very least Nylander! LOL tbh I think Hutton and Hellberg both have some upside to them and could certainly get us some wins but that would really only be true if we could score some goals. At least when our goalies have gone out before in the past we weren't relying on the back-up to get a shutout every night.

Rinne is apparently out for a month MINIMUM, this season is in the **** as far as I'm concerned on that news. TANK FOR OFFENSE, TAAAAAANK.

I've got confidence in King Hut and Magnus... But I'm also not too down on the idea of drafting Sam. But if we're gonna tank I'd prefer McDavid.

Im not saying it's over. I'm just thinking about every possibility.

Who's going to play the lion's share now that Rinne's out, Hellberg?

I'd say it will probably be a 50/50 split unless one outshines the other

Hellberg from what I heard is a Rinne-clone. Swede, 6-6, ~200lbs.

The quote I saw on him was this: ‘ is a tall, agile young netminder who plays a butterfly style and covers the lower net extremely well. He appears much smaller than he is when challenging shooters, and displays impressive leg drive and speed. While his glove hand is reliable, he will need to cover more of the net to advance as a professional.’ He split time with Smith in Milwaukee and basically became a workhorse that they couldn’t get out from between the pipes. Sub-2 GAA in the AHL playoffs (1.69 GAA and .944 SV%).

My suspicion is that Magnus would never be called up to ride pine a lot and will get the chance to be the man. We’ll see 50-50 playing time for both him and Hutton and then see if Magnus emerges.

If he plays well, anyone think we might have a $7M dollar problem in our season ticket package or just trade him off for a second like we did with Anders?

For not foreseeing a spontaneous bacterial infection? Come on...

In Mitch We Trust, I guess.

Knowing absolutely nothing about this from a medical point of view, is this good news as far as long term prognosis or bad???
