A) Yes, Gus was another guy I quite liked and B) the Coburn-Grossmannn pairing was the exact opposite of the bolded

With Mason in net now the Flyers only have 2.17 GAPG

He is at .930 now this year.

The offense can only get better. I'll take the win.

It always amazes me that they both actually do a pretty good job in their own zone (breakouts, neutral zone, passing are what lets them both down) when they both play 20 mins of pants on fire hockey each game!

Grossmann must have the best SV% in the NHL.

This team is desperately in need of a mix-up. If you're not going to pair up Jake with G then package him with one of our D-Men/Prospect/Pick for either a top line Winger to play with Claude or a bona fide #1 D.

I will say though Hartnell-Giroux-Lecavalier would be a formidable top line and would compliment each other well.

One concerning part, for me, is the flyers transition game and how brutal it is.

Not quite sure how they are gonna get that fixed at this point.

Trade Voracek when his value is low. Great plan.

I hate their inability to maintain offensive zone pressure. And at one point they skated it backwards into their own zone and came close to getting trapped there, all on their own. Move forward!

I don't think his play has any affect on his value right now but we shouldn't trade him anyway.

Next game Raffl needs to be off the first line and be replaced with Read.

He wasn't horrible but he shouldn't be on the first line.

Timonen shouldn't be on either PP unit. He was seriously horrible this game.

Disagree. I thought Raffl played pretty well. He can skate at least.

I don't know but they really can't be much worse. He turns the puck over constantly on the PP.

I think you switch mcginn with raffl and the lines would be pretty good again, i liked mcginn with G, he looked lost today on his line.

He keeps getting pinned back in his own zone. He is so slow that he can't cover much ice.

At his cap hit schenn is one of the worst dmen in the league.

His cap hit is only 3.6; Hell, Coburn makes 4.5.

Watching other teams and comparing them to the Flyers, I've noticed that in net front battles for rebounds, a successful strategy is actually getting some sort of possession to shoot or pass it. The Flyers have just been wailing at the puck, sending it wherever.
