I guess its a generational thing. I turned 26 yesterday and am the youngest guy involved by 15 years. All my friends my age looked dumbfounded when I asked.

I don't play fantasy - but it's kind of standard to tip anyone who holds the money for certain things. Like if you win money in an NCAA tourney pool or Super Bowl pool - you should always throw a little to the guy who ran the pool and collected and held the cash.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess it depends how much you win too. If it's 750-1000 bucks, sure, I'd definitely throw something his way. If it's only a couple hundred, different story.

Agreed. He's providing you with his labor and time for free. It's a classy move.

Labor and time my ass. Running a fantasy league takes no more time than participating in one. Who still holds money anyway? That's what Leaguesafe is for.

What kind leagues are you guys in that take more than 20 minutes to create and send out evites? If collecting the money is that big of an issue and hassle, then maybe you should reconsider who you have in your league and not pay a commish to act as a bounty hunter.

This is going to be Day 3 of 10+ hour work days this week. Tomorrow is shaping up to be the same way.

Sorry lol, I haven't been in 30 degree weather in... a long time. Just forgot how it feels. And I can see my breath in the air. Weird.

My condo's got quality radiators, so I'm going to be nice and toasty indoors all winter long.

I saw that - he seemed like such a sweet guy. really nice, decent - and a smart poster.

It seems like his death was very sudden - which is tragic and a bit shaking b/c we're about the same age. It's so bizarre when some one your age (in this case, early 30s) dies - obviously, the death as an event is upsetting and tragic - but also kind of surreal in a way.

this is o/t - but a friend of mine who i've known since law school was at his cottage with his wife over labour day...he took a bunch of their recyclables to the near by dumpster/bin and while he was there had some sort of seizure and dropped dead. another family showing up with their own recyclables found him. he was older than me - 35 - but that's not 'old'.

i find it terrifying and surreal when people in my age group who are living normal lives suddenly die.

well, congrats on the condo.

my success recently is proving to my mom it's more financially beneficial to me (in the multi-decade plan my mom requires) to rent rather than buy. i won't tell her that 'no fun shogun' has 'quality radiators'...that will just set her off again.

This is shocking. Way too young. My fond memory of him was ATL fans dispersal draft.

At the risk of jinxing it, this is looking like it'll be the slowest end of the month I've seen in the year I've headed up this office and the year and a half+ I've been with this company.

Not tearing out my hair the final couple of days will hopefully be a nice change of pace, even if I'm a tad bit bored and won't have major overtime pay.

Okay, serious talk... am I the only person that double checks that I'm responding to the latest email in a chain before responding? I swear, a third of my inbox is just people responding to old information that had already been fixed and sent to them or answering questions that were already answered and also sent to them.

My usual problem with huge email chains is people only sending their replies to one person.

Got the opposite issue, folks just replying all when there's no reason to do so.

Have had closings where I've honestly gotten a good thirty emails in the span of an hour, and you could probably count on one hand the number that were mission critical.

Nothing says fun like having to check your email 30 times in an hour for totally useless information, especially when you've got way more important things to do.
