Do you see how this works?

2 Top 6 forwards get injured, Raffl & McGinn are called up, play those lines, 2 Top 6 forwards get healthy, McGinn is sent back down.

CLEARLY, the team thinks of these guys as Top 6 forwards
I "get it" I just dont agree with it.
why cant he play on the 4th line? plenty of other teams have good young players on the 4th line. Guys that actually play hockey.

They already sent Laughton back to juniors because they didn't want him on the 4th line probably same reasoning with mcginn

I know its not really that big of a deal in the "big picture" but I like seeing guys who play well get rewarded. McGinn has played well.

Eh. He filled in very well and I have more hope for him in the future than I previously had. This isn't too big of a deal.

So long as one of Raffl/MCGinn stays up and Talbot remains on the 4th line, I'm OK with this.

Yea that's what I think it came down to. Raffl vs McGinn, not McGinn vs Newbury or whoever. They need a 3rd line winger, so maybe they think Raffl can be that.

This Mike Sielski guy seems like he's still all butthurt about being verbally abused by Snyder. He just looks immature and petty.

Yup, and it should be Raffl every time. McGinn has good hands around the net, but Raffl is the better skater, passer, and he has much better positioning in all three zones. He is of course older and more polished, but I've always viewed McGinn as a fringe guy to begin with, whereas Raffl has a definite NHL future.

If #Flyers don't score at least 3 Sat., they will become 1st #NHL team to start yr w 10 straight sub-3 goal games since 1940-41 (NY Amer).
10:04 AM - 25 Oct 13

It's good, now that they've fired a coach & won twice in 9 games, that the #Flyers can afford to have their top scorer develop in the minors

Makes it sound like the Flyers just demoted Gretzky. C'mon man.

I am with you on this. The guy had his feelings hurt. Boo Hoo. Now he takes a shot every chance he gets. I would buy his newspaper but I do not have a bird cage.

What a ****ing child. Did professionalism all of the sudden die with the advent of Twitter?

Essentially, yes.

With social media, not specifically Twitter.

True. I swear, posters on HF are more professional than our beat writers. That's really saying something.

I'd buy it as a backup for if I run out of toilet paper but I don't think wiping with paper already covered in ***** is such a good idea.

This guy used to right for the WSJ? So of course he has an ego. He'll be gone in a year or two when he has to start making stuff up because the players won't talk to him.

This was obviously going to be the move. They apparently like Raffl (he got the "golden ticket" spot on the 1st line last night) and somebody was going down for Hartnell. I don't really get it; Raffl seems like a good skater, but between the turnovers, poor clears in his own end, and failure to finish the chances he's had I'm thinking the game is moving a bit fast for him at this level. McGinn probably isn't as talented, but he knows his strengths and uses them, he's a big guy and he goes to the net, and that's led to some goals. Raffl to me is Nodl 2.0, except at least Nodl was a young player. Raffl is 25, hardly a prospect that we can look forward to developing; he is what he is.

That's how Philly media and sports talk is...they whine about the most trivial things and ridicule every little thing and when someone snaps back they act like children. Hate them...Barkann is the biggest tool of them all..or Cataldi...no, Missanelli, oh wait Gargano....yep, ALL OF THEM. Except Ray Diddy!!
