Luke and Couts are both looking faster than they used to. Luke looks like he's really working on those first few steps, it's making a difference.

Whole team looked fantastic other than Luke's turnover and screen. Oh and Kimmo looks lost again, making awful passes and decisions.

edit: Brayden the only one <50% on FOs. Needs to work on that.

That move Couts pulled that led to the PP goal was pretty sweet. Want him to do that more.

It is still early in the season and certainly not meant to elevate the last game and this first period but the long break may have been an advantage for Berube to implement whatever changes he felt necessary. Practices are at a premium in condensed schedules but this week-long break may have been constructive.

Couts leads the team in TOI after one with 7:43, Gus second at 7:26.

Mason was awesome. So chance on that goal. Jakes best game of the year so far, let's see if they keep going. G line was good but don't like them running around defensively.

Does Couturier looks more tenacious on the forecheck tonight, or is it just me? Looks like he's playing with more energy.

Yeah, I know. It was just frustrating watching them play so badly when we all knew they were capable of more.

Anyone else catch Vinny spinning carkner around right before his second goal? Pretty slick

Three goals is swell and all, but let's see two more periods of good, sustained hockey.

Buzz Killington out!

And better line mates...

I think those things go hand in hand

Yeah. He's probably more confident in them then the usual slop he's been forced to play with.

I think it is a Chinese proverb but somewhere someone said something akin to "A man must take a step before he walks a mile."

But then again, someone in Toronto said "Just give us the cup already"

Schenn doing everything he can in the middle to make sure he couldn't get a shot off.

I found bulleit bourbon in the UK about two hours before the game. Never seen it in a bar before on the island.

Not superstitious... but definitely a sign.
