The NBA Draft is the most underwhelming draft of any professional sport so I could care less about our pick as long as it's outside of the top 5.

Those are the Wizards sore areas now, with their small ball rotation. They need to do something in Free Agency, to really be relevant. When was the last time a big, drafted 15+, was someone that was a huge miss? Sullinger went late, but he's no great shakes. Unless it's a Euro, it's not really a huge risk to give this away, considering the Wizards needs.
It's top-12 protected.

In terms of your draft question, Faried, Harris, Vucevic, Hibbert, and Ibaka are guys drafted 15+ in the last 5 years that would be huge for the Wizards right now.

Mullens, Speights, Lopez, Anderson would all be quality depth.

It's not just the players they could potentially draft, it's giving away a very good asset for a decent, but not great, player who's contract is expiring

It's Forsberg for Erat, but by a team that hasn't made the playoffs in years.

this is almost as bad as Rubio for 1 year of Foye and Miller

NBA playoffs locks in the east : Heat, Knicks, Nets, Pacers, Bulls. that leave 3 playoff spots at the bottom of the east.

So we traded a 1st rounder in the best draft since lebron for the chance to get slaughtered by the heat or bulls in 3 games.

Brilliant! meanwhile the suns now have 4 1st in the draft.

Yeah, Hibbert. Ibaka too.

Eh. I don't love the trade. But I think it's fine, and we may see Gortat light it up.

Not quite Erat for Forsberg, but I understand.

Was that supposed to be the new fangled Wizards playoff-bound squad? Sure looked like the same exact team from last year lol.

Can't believe they brought Wittman back, they're in for a long year. At least it is a protected 1st.

Let's say things go very well/badly (depending on your perspective). There's no chance EG passes on Wiggins because he just picked a Georgetown kid at the same position, right?

Even if they had a shot at the top pick, they would fall out and end up in the 4-6 range, and select the Sam Bowie.

Only semi-Wizards related, but after watching the Michigan State-Kentucky game, I'm not sure Julius Randle isn't the #1 pick over Wiggins. He looks like a more physical and intense/energetic Chris Webber.

Jabari Parker made his case last night as well. Wiggins actually had the best per-minute stats, but couldn't stay on the floor for much of the first half due to getting 2 early fouls.

Whatever the outcome, this draft is absolutely loaded.

Tonight's game is an NBA Championship Belt title fight! I doubt any of the players have even heard of it, but it's important nonetheless.

Wiz are 0-1 so far this season in championship matches (lost 109-102 to Philly).

The Wiz still can't defend and they struggle in half court sets when it matters. Nothing has changed.

Jabari Parker looked amazing, Wiggins looks a little raw to me, and wish I could of seen Julius Randle.

What set Randle apart for me was how he just took over against what is probably the best team in the country last night, both scoring and on the boards. Rebounding is probably the most reliably translated stat from college to the pros, and he's absolutely dominant in that area.
