I think the Kings would have interest in Hemsky. He's been playing well, and I hope he goes somewhere where he finally gets to play in the post season.

What do you think would be a fair trade for him, if anything at all.
I would trade all the "kids" + 7 1st rounders for Montoya.

+100,000,00

All the tenured posters on here raggin about our forwards need to give their collective heads a shake.

We need a #1 d-man and a massive upgrade in goal.

They probably would've been better off trading him in the off-season.

Oh definitely, our priorities need to be D-man and a goalie, but if we can upgrade our forwards, I'd be interested in doing so.

NO ONE...I repeat NO ONE, on this team should be untouchable if the deal is right. This team has been in the toilet for the last 10 years so trade anyone if you can start rebuilding this team correctly.

I don't know. More often than not when you deal away a star you lose the trade.

And you're not likely to get a #1 D-man through trade.

Sadly, I do not see any team giving up much for Hemsky-- we know he will get injured shortly and so do other teams--just a matter of when and for how long

All these so called "stars" have done nothing to improve the team...they still suck. Again NO ONE should be untouchable!

Trading one for a few grinders would be a terrible idea.

If you can't get a Doughty or a Weber then you shouldn't make the trade.

the oilers tried all offseason to dump hemsky, his 5 million dollar salary , his injury woes, nobody really wanted him or else Mactavish would have gotten rid of him, The Kings have no cap space to take hemsky, only hope to trade him would be possibly at the trade deadline, when you might get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him,

All of the supposed stars have 6 million dollar long term contracts, win or lose what do they care, there jobs and guranteed money are safe,

On the bright side, Hall, RNH, Eberle, Peron and
Arcobello are all hovering around a point per game....

Went out and wasted money on signed first goals for the 5-6 Oilers kids. Not going to waste anymore money on Hockey Memorabilia. It's pretty apparent this team is not going to gel ever as is. I will wait until next year (playoffs will be the goal again), and see what the team looks like. This is not the team to make playoffs, and likely not the coach. (yes, I know, give hime 30 games)

We are never going to get anything of value for Hemsky. He has more value (for the salary we would have to probably absorb) here unfortunately.

I also think Hemsky has more value here. He's still proving to be a good top 6 forward, and I really think when all is said and done, Yakupov is the odd man out. We'll need Hemsky to stay in that case for secondary scoring.

I still think a reasonable deal could be made (throw in the +'s on any side you want) with the Jets involving Yakupov and Bogosian.

1. Interesting
2, LA doesn't have cap space for Hemsky
3. Our 1st looks to be too valuable for that package.
4. Interesting, not sure Buff needs more D prospects
5. Gross, that's awful.
6-7. Does Laich play C? Don't think these work.

Laich is a big body who can play center. Kulemin would be a great mentor for Yakupov and also brings size.
