Actually, as per capgeek after this season Desharnais has three years left at 3.5, Versteeg has 2 years left at 4.4 per, and Kopecky has 1 year left at 3.

Did you not read his post? He's doing it for the wet dreams. Apparently of late he hasn't had any or he hasn't had enough.

Are we actually talking about a false Twitter account with a false rumor news? Or is there something true in this?

Well, the something true is that we're talking about it. What more do you need on a Sunday morning after all three Montreal pro teams need their diapers changed?

This seems more likely than the Versteeg one as he can actually be a top 6 forward and trading him would weaken the Panthers' offense.

ESPN reported a couple days ago that there's been trade talk about MTL - FLO involving DD.

Honestly though, DD for Versteeg would be pretty pointless. We'd gain 2 inches and 10-15 goals per season? He's constantly injured and has a cap hit of 4.4 when we need to resign Subban, Markov, Eller, Emelin.

What MB should be doing is offering DD + for a certain Nick Bjugstad I can't even imagine seeing him and Mccarron together on the 3rd line.

Yeah, Bergevin should really be spending his time on trades that will never see the light of day

Time to be a tad more realistic. You have to think that a problem contract/project would be coming back.

Definitely not pointless, one we get rid of DD, two we move our centers back to center, and three we get rid of DD.

Make it DD++++ for Bjugstad. Not sure why they would even think about trading him, honestly. But yeah, if by some kind of miracle Tallon had a braincramp and wanted DD+1st for example, damn, press OK and run fast !

I would take Matthias or Kopecky. Matthias' cap hit is pretty low so I doubt Florida would trade him for DD.

Yeah. Would love Kopecky here, though. I've wanted him to be a hab for years now. At least when he's not scoring, he's a very good checking forward.

Desharnais for Kopecky straight up would be welcome.

MB has shown that he can effectively free up cap space via trade when he dealt Cole for Ryder.

Doesn't Versteeg has a near 5M cap-hit for the next 2-3 years? And he just plain sucks as well.

DD got him would be a lateral move at best. I'd rather get a 2nd/3rd rounder out of DD than Versteeg.

At least Versteeg was a key contributor on a Cup winning team. A little more speed on the wings would be nice too. Kopecky is decent too, he reminds me of Bourque.

All Desharnais contributes is aneurysms.

I don't see Versteeg being a good fit here (though I don't see one for Desharnais either). Kopecky makes sense to me though. A winger for the bottom six with size who is having a bad year scoring wise (still pointless). So basically two guys that could use a change of scenery and both with similar cap hits.
