Plekanec a "decent" 2nd line center.

Id be intrigued to see what it would take to get Couterier out of Philly. Seems like the type of player that would fit in Torts system

They'd want Edler+, to which Gillis would say no

No, from Vancouver. Bieksa brings a need to our blue line a right side D man who brings a lot of grit. I don't see us mover our core guys for older players, Canucks are trying to get younger so if we're moving Bieksa it's for a solid young player.

If they move Couturier those fans will be pretty upset with the return. I like Couts but his value isn't anything near that it would be a plus and a fair size plus on their side for a D man on Edler level.

I think Edler for ROR straight up + plus the option to swap 1st's is a great trade.

I also had a trade in mind with Winnipeg to bring Evander Kane back home.
To WPG: Hunter Shinkaruk, David Booth, 1st rd pick
To VAN: Evander Kane, Zach Redmond

Sedin-Sedin-Kesler
Burrows-ROR-Kane

Thre is no possible package the Canucks can offer to get E. Kane.

Is Kesler a fixture on the wing or would the Canucks also be looking for a 1st line winger so that they can move Kesler to 2C?

Nope. Bieksa is playing far too well and subtracting him from our blueline would be a greater hindrance than benefit. I stand by Tanev/Corrado++ as our offer for Plekanec. If it isn't enough, we look elsewhere.

It seems likely Kesler will continue to flank the Sedins, unless Santorelli falls apart. So odds are, we want a second line centre.

They can want it all they fancy. Couturier would never garner Edler+ or the equivalent from any team. Philly would be who's adding. That said, I doubt they trade Cout.

Kesler has been very effective on the wing so we're most likely going to keep him there.

I really think Tanev may be utilized as trade bait at some point in the next year. With the top 4 all signed long term with NTC and Frankie Corrado likely not far away, Tanev may be deemed expendable for help up front. The strong play of Ryan Stanton also would help ease the loss of Tanev.

The question is, what is Tanev's value around the league?

So let's see if a deal can be worked out here...tweaking it a bit.

Schenn and Schenn for Edler and _______?

Who is that blank?
