Agreed on Holland, not on Beaulieu. Beaulieu will be really great one day, but needs to improve his defensive positioning and cut down on errors so that he can get out there on the ice 5-on-5.

DD and Leblanc had some decent chemistry a few years back when they played with Cammalleri.

Put Blunden with Galchenyuk and Eller to get those two back to scoring.

A winning team is a good environment for the kids.

I didn't say Beaulieu is playing great and doesn't need more development. Just that he's better than most of the D on our team currently.. which says all it needs to say about our defense.

Give it a break. At 15 point a year pace, even 20 or 25, DD is gone next summer. Bergy will have to man up to the mistake. He will not be here next year.

The 'kids' do not care about the Calder cup. All of them have played on winning teams and were probably team leaders before they were drafted.

They now care about making millions in the NHL playing for Habs. If Dogs win by extension, fine, but who gives a **** if not? If you think otherwise you are being naive.

These guys are not kids, they are ambitious young men who are already playing pro.

Sounds like Scott Gomez talking, most of the players the Habs draft or sign have character and passion for the game two priorities that are high on Marc Bergevin's list of qualities he looks for in players. As far as being naive, that's a quality outgrown by most men by the end of their teens and I happen to be in my 50's smartass.

I liked Holland. Clever guy, I'm not sure on his offensive abilities but it's there. Anyway, that was a good experience for him going forward.

Yup, he did his job despite his line mates and ice time and more importantly didn't do anything stupid ( penalty, turnover etc.. ) Love his patience with the puck

If both Parros and Patches back, do we have to send down two players ?

And they won't be easy games. Wild always play well at home and Colorado is the best team in the league at the moment and I'm sure Pat will want to win that one

Doug Hamilton is playing better than most of Boston's dmen..does that make Boston's blueline bad? Seth Jones..drafted a few months ago, is already the second-best dman on Nashville..does that mean their blueline is porous? Beaulieu is a former top 20 pick like Hamilton and Jones...he's supposed to play better than undrafted dmen like Diaz and Bouillon....not that he was.

I liked Holland way better than Blunden. I think Holland will become a great defensive specialist, he's very smart.

Holland is being groomed slowly. Blunden is the workhorse you put in the field on rainy days.

Holland showed offensive flashes and potential upside that I don't think Blunden will ever have. Let him learn and develop properly in Hamilton.

Not to mention -- with the way things are this season, he might be back for Friday.

This, or somebody is activated. Parrots ?

Yeah holland played a sound defensive game, i still think he can have Third line grinder potential.

Also liked what i saw from Leblanc i think he is starting to understand that his future might not be on a top 6 but more a top 9.

Le Match yesterday echoed the same thing, recalling how Pascal Vincent who was Lebanc's junior coach, thought his ceiling was that of a third liner. They said of him that he doesn't have through-the-roof skills but that his calling card is his work ethic and sheer determination. They said the Habs exaggerated Leblanc's talent when they selected him, as they saw him as a potential top 6 player.
