Protesting Outside the Bell Centre

When RDS went to commercial, it looked like people were protesting outside the Bell Centre...anyone have any idea what the heck they were protesting?

They've been there the last several games I went to see. They're CSN union banners. I didn't really catch the details, but it seems to be Bell Center workers. I'm unsure if there's a strike or if it's just a demonstration. Maybe someone that works there can enlighten us? Le Tricolore/mjb?

Gillett's administration wants to cut in half the salaries of the "vendeurs" at Bell Centre. Most of the are students getting about 10000$ a year. A drop of 5000$ is steep.

I think that must be them protesting.

How many hours per week do they work on average?

Ah! That's a good question, since I don't know the answer at all!

While that's partially true, the details are all wrong.

I'm honestly not really allowed to go into it, in risk of losing my job if anyone from work found out that I said anything, but I'll just say that the people protesting/on strike are only screwing themselves, since the Bell Centre's main boutique is getting by excellently without the mini-boutiques around the building.

Those numbers are wrong. He wants to cut 30% off of the commission.
So if they earned $10000 of commission it would be trimed down to $7000. I dont know what the base salary is but that would not be affected.
At least that's what I heard on CKAC the other day as far as I remember.

At least he's keeping the comission. I hate shopping at places where there is comission.. employees are all over you. However, when there isn't a comission, they ignore you.

Personally, I prefer to be ignored, of the options.
