A guy who only has 2 pts in 10 games and is struggling in his team...I'm thinking he might be available is Wayne Simmonds!

He's big, he can score and he can fight. I'd like for bergevin to give him a call to see what it would cost. They most likely will ask for a defenseman or fucale ...beaulieu and tinordi will surely be asked but maybe diaz + something else will be enough.

Wont be enough, Diaz is journeymen NHLer, dime a dozen, and Simmonds is on very good contract at 3.9m$ till 2019.

I think Simmonds is incredibly overrated. He's worth what he's paid.

An offer you can't refuse for subban? Kulikov, Gubranson, Huberdeau and Barkov for Subban.

Just lol.

And then let's fast forward 5 years into the future!

Pacioretty (6'02)- Galchenyuk (6'02)- Gallagher (5'08)
Bournival (6'00)- Barkov (6'03)- Huberdeau (6'01)
Leblanc (6'00)- Eller (6'02)- McCarron (6'05)
Connor (6'04)- Vail (6'01)- Fournier (6'03)

Kulikov (6'01)- Gudbranson (6'05)
Tinordi (6'06)- Beaulieu (6'01)
Pateryn (6'02)- Nygren (6'01)

Price (6'03)- Fucale (6'00)

Any complaints? Only gallagher is under 6 feet tall.

There simply cannot be any more deals involved Subban. Our d is simply not ready to handle that.

It's looking like Desharnais is not about to pull himself out of this bout of unproductivity. Luckily, this is Montreal, we all know the drill, trade him for nothing and watch him succeed elsewhere. We'll take the 3rd, and/or middling prospect and turn them into "organizational depth" and "cap flexibility".

If Briere was healthy, I'd do it now, but otherwise, you have to wonder if breaking up the Eller line and moving Galchenyuk to 3C would end up helping or hurting the team (assuming we're still going for the cup and not tanking).

The move is probably to just wait. No matter what, there always seems to be at least one line that's giving nothing and right now it's whatever line DD is on. It usually changes at some point. If it doesn't, he's familiar with riding buses around. At least we gain some "cap flexibility" with that.

Pretty much. A lot of times guys get mythical values on HFBoards based on who knows what?

Yes, Simmonds has some tools that are attractive, but nearly $4 mil is almost exactly commensurate with what he brings to the table.

And then Florida sets themselves back for another 10 years by gutting their team.

Would you deal Subban (if he's tired of Therrien's ****) for a package based around Benn and Dillon?

Oh man.. Jamie Benn is a monster if I've ever seen one. Oleksiak would need to be added.

Anything else you want to throw in for this legendary player known as Wayne Simmnonds? Maybe we throw in Gallagher and Price just to make sure we get Simmonds in this package?

Let's just avoid the trade Subban scenario. If this were ever to happen, Montréal would be reclaiming Bergevin's and Therrien's heads.
