He has a great shot, he's just not so good at working himself in to position to use it. If he could increase his ability to do that, perhaps he will see some powerplay time. The question is when to try the experiment, because in the middle of the season isn't really the best time to tinker with a top rated powerplay. If Souray is out, and I really hope he isn't, I wouldn't mind seeing Komisarek back there for a few games to see if he can find this ability.

No doubt Komi has a hard shot, but his accuracy needs lots of work!
Maybe he should get himself one of those bionic wrists? worked for Souray!

TSN icechips says he wants to play Tuesday but Carbo remains doubtful.

MRI was negative.

Higgins back earliest on Thursday.

K well if the MRI was negative and he feels good enough to play than nobody should keep him out. It should not be Carboneau's decision , it should be Souray's decision.

So is it more likley that Souray plays tommorow or not ....or is it gonna be a game-time decision?
If not tommorow than he should definitly be back on Thursday right?

It should never (if not never, then rarely) be the players' decision whether to play in a game. Players are going to play through pain and are more willing to risk further injury in order to play. The coach has the team in mind and is more able to realize that leaving Souray out for one game is better than him coming back at 70%, while risking further injury.

That is true , but I still think Souray knows if he is able to play or not and wouldn't risk further injury to play in one game I'm sure he's not stupid. Anyway it is a big divisonal game so I'm sure he will want to play but I guess it depends on how he is tommorow before the game.

But really playing tommorow or missing the game and comming back Thursday really doesn't make much of a difference.

i am very relieved that it is a short term injury.

Hope he is good to go vs the bruins. Tape it up, but if he isn't capable of the big slapper, than missing 1 game is better.

why even risk it, take a game off and wait till thursday, better we lose to boston than souray re-injuring his wrist/hand.

Souray won't play

Si on sait déjà que Souray sera absent, le défenseur Francis Bouillon ainsi que l’attaquant Steve Bégin demeurent des cas incertains pour le match de ce soir.

any further word on souray, ya I know he seems like a liability at times but he is a crucial part of the habs potential this year.
