So wait, Mez is in?
The guy who has looked terrible so far this year
And Gus is out
The kid who has been very good and contributing offensively thus far
I'm confused Chief

Hopefully there's some kind of mandate trying to showcase Mez.

Otherwise this makes no sense.

Mustache Sam thinks its a "display" on Mesz as well.

Honestly I think that's stupid, this team needs wins, put the best players on the ice, if you can only get a 6th rnd for Mesz, who gives a ****

I don't believe in these "showcase" theories... GM aren't fools, they would notice it too easily. Their opinion on a player won't change because of a couple of games...

One can only hope that it's to showcase Mesz to the Ducks, they have one of the league's bigger needs for serviceable depth on the backend and their rumors of interest in addressing that have been floating since the beginning.

I dont mind the matchup here between us and the Ducks, especially with their riddle of injuries upfront now too. (Silfverberg, Koivu, Perreault)

Their goaltending tends to keep them together when they win and, as usual, this will likely be a challenge for us being that we tend to make other teams goalies look like superstars.

Should be a nice game to watch. Will be kinda nice to see how Maroon is panning out over there.

Really ??? WTF is wrong with this organization . Is there a no talent goon on Anaheim that justifies 2.0 in the line-up ?

No, there isn't. Hall is at least useful in some areas. Rosehill is just a waste of 3 mins and an overuse of other forwards.

For Anaheim:

Mathieu Perreault is more likely than Dustin Penner, who is skating today, to be playing tonight.

Hiller is the expected goalie.

That is a truly scary though.

Rosehill over Hall and Meszaros over Gustafsson makes zero sense, but whatever. As long as we win. If we don't then there's hell to pay.

Gus and kimmo were paired together do they're literally just swapping Mez for Gus.

Doesn't Gus have 3 points in his 5 games? For a team struggling offensively this seems pretty dumb.

Yeah, the team has been far more productive with Gus on the ice over Mez.

Remember that great homerun pass to set up a goal last game? I don't see Mez doing that. He's looked like he's playing with a golf ball instead of a puck.

Even putting aside that fact that Gustafsson brings a better skill-set for this team, swapping Gustafsson for Meszaros and Hall for Rosehill are completely opposite actions in this way.

I'm feeling that Rosehill is in because we've been winning with him in the lineup so Berube just wants the lineup to stay the same. This is also enforced by the fact that the lines haven't really changed at all.

However, swapping Gustafsson for Meszaros is a directly opposite move since we've been losing with Meszaros and winning with Gustafsson.

I don't get it.

Mez is going to prove you all wrong and score 2 goals tonight. Or something like that.

I'm going to the game tonight, hopefully they score some goals.

Is Anaheim still considered a very physical team? Could explain why they are going with the bigger players. Or maybe they want to rotate Mez and Gus throughout the year until one of them (Gus), clearly takes over.

Tickets as low as 13 on stub hub. I may go down tonight again. Really regretting getting a partial plan this year...would of saved a ton just doing this. BTW I saw this on Facebook and got a solid chuckle.

Please don't let Pat Maroon score tonight, he spent his time in the flyers system eating cake, watching hotel pay-per-view porn and playing inline hockey..... now he's on the ducks top line.

This is as a good a chance as any for us to keep things rolling and assure some confidence. Playing a good team that plays to our strengths mostly.

I'm not the person to say this ever but this is definitely the biggest game of the season so far in my mind.
