The quote is pretty clear to me.

Exact quote from the article:
Quote:
On the injury front it is possible that Hall and Gagner, who finished 1-2 in team scoring last season, could be back within the next two to four games.

Like the posters above us have commented, if he's not ready then that's ok. But if he is, that's great news.

As for keeping him out. If he's ready, he's ready. There's no such thing as 100% as a pro-athlete, but if he's ready to play, a few more weeks won't make him any more ready.

But again, if he's not ready, then yeah, don't rush it.

i'll admit that the quote looks like it includes hall... i only heard him on the radio though, i didn't see it in print.... on the radio it sounded like he was referring to gagner.... where did you read that quote?

I pulled it from the official oilers' iphone app. (an article from stauffer called "Reason for Optimism)

edit, it's also on the website at:

hmm, interesting... it definitely is worded in such a way to make you think it is referring to both hall and gagner... i wonder if it was just poor writing on stauffer's part?

It seems pretty clear that stauffer was referring to both of them

If that was not some sort of mistake and he actually did mean Gagner and hall will be back in 2-4 games that is huge news we were expecting not to have hall for another three weeksish

4 games from now is Nov 7th, which is just under 3 weeks from the hit. It was leaked on here 3-4 weeks, but MacT said 4 weeks, which may have been a pessimistic timeline. Maybe they decided to go with pessimistic timelines and have players return earlier than expected, instead of past years when 2 games would become 2 weeks then 2 months.

Ahh yes Stauffer
If the team went winless on the season he would find "positives"
As far as Hall is concerned, i would be shocked if he came back within the next week

This has to be a sticky. It's too hard following all the various other injury topics.

Agreed, can we sticky this thread?

It's the Oilers FCS, we'll need it all season. Thanks for the updates though.

Thanks Soli! ... Ugh I hope Joensuus back injury isn't the end of him, backs can be so tricky.

Especially for bigger guys. I remember Eric Daze had some much talent but his back was horrible.

stauffer just mentioned that he thinks hall will be in the lineup for the november 9th game against philly at the latest, and would not be surprised to see him in the lineup on november 5th or 7th

Let's hope this thread doesn't get updated after this game.

I think the Oilers really miss 6 and 94. And of course 4

I thought Ryan Hamilton looked like a depth player who could make some impact here until he went down.

I would like to see him get up & running.

The news on Hall is very encouraging too.

I absolutely detest the idea of rushing him back. I cringed when RNH came back early...but...if Hall is good to go within the next 10 days or so...wow...a sight for sore eyes.

yeah if hall could actually be back within 10 days, we could have a healthy top-6 for the first time all season pretty soon

As Eberle comes down with a sudden nasty case of spontaneous combustion.
