I'm impressed with Berube so far to be honest.
Yup, I would say Paddock deserves some credit as well since he's working with the defense now but people knew he was a good coach coming into this.

I said several times before our week long break I'd give the team three or so games to place final judgment. Assuming this game goes as it has been it looks like two of the three are good signs.

He was selling the high stick. He's THAT good.

I'm not the type to place judgment as far as NHL coaching goes before any experience is had but a lot of people pegged Berube as no answer just because he was a goon'ish player back in his playing days.

If the next two periods play out the same there will be no bad or ugly for anybody. All good.

Even...Meszaros.

6 assists in 6 games for Giroux. I can live with that.

I'll echo what others have said:

Best period of the season so far.

Some breakdowns, but overall, just great hockey.

Yup, great period minus the three or so minute span they turned the puck over like 5 times . Seriously though, they clean that up and continue like that, they'll dominate.

Another horrifying Kimmo gaffe, and I think in 2050 that that's an Anaheim goal with camera puck triangulation, but I'll take otherwise the period where they showed the most chemistry so far this year

It's going to get better. Once the powerplay picks up his points will too. More importantly he looks extremely confident again. He is making plays, and the no look pass he made was a beaut.
