You guys want to know something weird?

We have the best goal for/against differential in the east.

To be honest....

As long as MT plays Subban 30 mins a game in April...
I don't care much about how he uses Subban in October.

Totally agreed! I'm not saying that to diminish Markov's tremendous work!

I've been saying before the start of the season that Markov could be better this year than he was last year. And so far, so good!

However, it doesn't change the fact that you have the reigning Norris on your team. And it happens he's a good all-around dman. He should logically play more minutes, especially considering he's 10 years younger.

What if it goes on for the whole year and Markov slows down significantly at the end? Another first round exit??

The thread should have been named: Price blows shutout, goalie controversy ensues.

Murray takes too many penalties, but he's usefull as hell. Plus, in the playoffs, they don't call the type of penalties he takes. I'm pretty happy with him so far.

And third in the league.

Can't wait to see this team in January, February. When, hopefully, everybody is healthy and the chemistry is getting there.

Why is it so important that he is on the PK? We are ranked 8th in the League on the PK.

I would rather have Subban not be overworked now and still have his legs when it comes time for when it counts........in the playoffs.

It makes zero sense using Subban for 28-30 minutes a night this early in the season. Zero.

Relax man. Subban is still our best DMan. I want success from him and the team in the playoffs. Not a burned out and physically spent DMan from overuse.

Louis impressed me tonight.
But Diaz impressed even more. Great game on his part.
Galchenyuk should easily have 5-10 goals this season. Someone should tell him to shoot the damn puck! It will go in. I feel like he's on the verge of exploding offensively.

And of course great game defensively including both blocked shots and key saves by Price.

Exactly, not to mention the injury risk factor of blocking shots on the PK to boot.

Guys just want him on the PK to help in their arguments about his all around game on the main board.

The type of injuries he had normally take a while to get back to full shape. Just 1 of the knee injuries he got, thats normally over a year easily before being back in shape and then, players are generally not even 100% the next year they play.

Factor in his age + the fact it was 2 straight knees injuries on top of that fluke injury he had prior. He missed alot of hockey.

AP (in the NFL) came back from a knee injury like this in a record time and had a season for the ages last year. He's much younger and its also the exception to the rule. Besides AP, it has taken everyone else a while to get back to full health. With that type of injury, you normally instantly lose mobility, some jump.

He did lost some of that, but he's been compensating. Its nice to see. With Emelin coming back, hopefully they can manage his minutes better with more time to the 3rd pairing (which will have Murray-Bou-Diaz) so Markov isnt out of gas in March.

Imagine a healthy near-elite Markov in the Olympics, playing alongside the likes of Malkin, Ovechkin, Datsyuk.
