I think we're getting Jiggy with it. Hopefully Ginner can return from his injury. Last game against the Stars was pretty tough, I don't expect this one to be any easier.

I think we will come out pretty flat in the first. Hard not to when you've had so many days off just practicing and training. Jiggy will have to stand tall in the first 10 minutes to give us a chance to win.

Not a fan of relying on Jiggy so much, especially with so much time in between games.

Edit: Looking at the schedule, I actually change my mind about Jiggy starting.

How much does Giguere have to do before we stop questioning Roy's decision to play him?

I admit I was skeptical about him playing in Pittsburgh, but he proved me wrong. He has 2 shutouts/3 wins in three games.

If this was anyone else we'd be saying he has earned himself more starts. I know he's in a mentoring role but he can still play.

I think it's pretty good to question Roy's decisions on playing Jiggy and Jiggy as a starter in what should be difficult game. Every time it happens, Jiggy is great, so we should whine a lot about it

Yeah I think he's gonna blow up in this game. 4-5 goals against. Calling it!

Meh, call me crazy but I am still not a believer in Giggy.

Yes he has 2 shutouts and is unbeaten so far, but I think he got lucky in both games against Boston and Pittsburgh.

He looks slow in his lateral movement, and slow getting down to the butterfly. I don't think he is close to the level of Varly, and if the Bruins or Pens had gotten any decent lateral chances against him, I don't think he would have stopped them.

IMO, Giggy's 2 shutouts are more an example of how good our Defense has been at keeping the shots outside and limiting the lateral scoring chances.

Avs first back to back. Luckily Montreal also play Friday so there should be no disadvantage.

They haven't had practice yet. Hopefully someone bothers to ask today.

I think that's exactly how back to back games should be for every team.

Make the schedule so when teams play back to back, both teams have played the night before, not one team rested the other tired.

Good good, let's keep doubting Jiggy like before last game.

I think we lose this one actually. 5-1. The main boards will then call as frauds. people are just dying for us to lose

Mike Chambers @mikechambers
#Avs' Jamie McGinn not practicing. Only 22 on ice after two days off. No call up probably means he's OK.

Chambers Says McGinn is not practicing but they didn't call anyone up so he thinks McGinn will play Friday. Hopefully someone asks Roy for more of a difinitive answer after practice.

I wouldn't mind a repeat of that crazy game where Duchene scored a hat-trick. Only this time the Avs would win.

Do we need to win more or lose more to prove we're for real this time? I'm confused...

Everyone cant wait for us to lose. Thats the sense I get around the main boards. Our goalies are saving us, our defense sucks, our ice girls are fat etc.

Dallas is much better than their record indicates and they looked really good against us last time. I think we come out on top of a very close game. Dutchy will have a good night as always against Dallas.

Avs fans bother me more on the main board. It feels like they're apologizing for winning so much. "Don't worry! You're right, we will start losing again in no time. We shouldn't be first in the NHL blah blah blah" Nobody listened to the press conference? STANLEY CUP ATTITUDE!'

Maybe I got a little emotional just now

Main board threads should be treated with as much malice and scorn as possible.
