slow this, slow that. yes he's slow, but he's not that slow. was he ever brutally out of position because of his speed tonight? I think Murray is a smart guy and he knows how to make up for his lack of foot speed with good positioning.

Glad we won.

Missed the game because of going to the Coyotes vs. Kings game tonight.

I feel like I've missed a lot of games lately.

Pacioretty can get more ice-time with PP minutes. He should be first unit PP.

However, I wouldn't be surprised to see him play with Eller and Gallagher either.

I remember reading here that shot block is overrated, it also means that you are making a desperate plays which isn't good but I guess that can only apply for that terrible defenseman in Gorges.

Habs defense is also doing a great job of clearing rebounds from the crease and quickly chipping them towards the sideboards. This has been a criticism of mine for a while now, but they've been doing a good job lately.

Why do you keep saying Diaz isn't good? I'm just asking because I don't watch the games as I'm no habs fan so I can't really judge him and tell wether he's good or not..

He pretty much loses every puck battle and his shots seem weak, not very accurate and most of the time he just shoots it into the defenders shins.

Last night's game he won puck battles, made nice plays with the puck and had a bunch of timely shot blocks. It was a great game for him.

For whatever reason his shot doesn't seem any good.

Better game from Diaz. He was god awful before that so it'll take more games like that if he wants to crack the lineup when Emelin returns.

Anyone notice that Eller's keep the puck less longer now? Remember when he was so strong on the puck and play a la Forsberg? Is it me or we don't see that much anymore. Can't say I like that. He's been less efftective lately.

Can't keep puck as long when facing opposition top players and top Ds more often. He's adapting, like the rest of that line.

When hes good hes regular season good. but when things start to get tight, his reticence for all things physical leads to poor decisions/ turnovers.

He's got the skills to be a good pmd, provided he doesnt get pressed much at which point he often folds like a lawn chair. He may well be the least physical player on the back end in the league.

Eller's not PPG and people start calling him 'less effective' ? Damnit, who'd thunk dat ?

Subban's not PPG so he's overrated / slumping, coach hates him, gonna sit out next contract wawawawaawaa.

Okay.

Reading this board, you'd think the Habs have the Oilers record.

Heck, people keep whining even when our backup gets a shutout. Defense is soff, Murray is too slow, Diaz useless, DD is AHL material, Eller is scurred, Galchenyuk's skating is bad, Therrien looks like Bibi (this one was funny actually)

This is becoming like RDS.ca / english version. I used to like these boards more than French ones because you had great posts, arguments / discussions, now it's a bunch of whines / trolls mindlessly baching even when the team performs above expectations.

Back to your daily rant.

They haven't faced top-end checking in their careers and they are slowly learning to get a split-second faster. Better for them to learn now than later.

On top of that, they still seem to be producing chances against fairly regularly. I didn't think they could handle it this early. The gallys are overmatched in the defensive zone, but in transition and offensive zone they're doing fine.
