Anyone excited for the game against the Colorado Avalanche?

I'm pretty sure Patrick Roy will make sure his team beat the habs but Michel Therrien won't let him. I predict a big game from Carey Price and PK Subban!

Looking forward to the game.

Downie takes out Galchenyuk, Subban a -3, and Therrien stays mum on everything but Subban despite all that and the Roy pining among the fanbase reaches another level.

Oh, and we get shutout of course.

Wouldn't be surprised if Giguere gets the start

Yes, 10pm start, peace and quiet while the kids are sleeping

But it's going to be a tough Sunday morning

Not really, watched the Colorado game against Pittsburgh last week and Giguere stole that game. The Avalanche skate very well, but they have youngsters who make mistakes. If we can capitalize we should be alright, but their offense is sick

I really miss watching Mackinnon live. That should be fun.

I hear there is a new coach in Denver. Barely heard of this guy, wonder why he hasn't been mentioned on these boards before now?

Hopefully Subban gets out of his funk and wins the game for us. It's going to be a hard one.

Dude, there's been a thread on that coach and questions have been asked such as why our GM didn't hire him.

I never get excited about games against Western teams, especially not good ones.

Me too, will be a media cluster**** and possibly the same on the ice.
Too many things could go wrong and there seems to be a greater chance of it doing so than otherwise.

I'm still not a believer. The Avs are playing above their heads. That said... Back-to-back road games in the west? I think we'll slow the tempo down a lot, play very defensive and conservative hockey...

It's going to be a boring game. And I don't like our chances.

Therrien will try to capitalize on the fact that the Avs have a very young team and they might try to force the play out of impatience which might lead to opportunities for the Canadiens.

Is Colorado really that good ? If so, it's a measuring stick and I'm excited to see how Montreal stacks up.

What if they're not that good ? Not really excited then.

However, they do have a ton of talent.

This.

Look closely; 2nd game of a BTB, travelling from Minny to Denver, 10 pm start.

Without any consideration of the strenght of the adversary and how amped Roy will be, I'd write the game off as a guarenteed loss.

RDS and the local media will bury us. It's going to be a mess.

How can I not be excited?

I've got eight tickets to the game and we'll probably get verbally abused with all the Habs gear we'll be wearing.

Don't forget Avs are playing in Dallas Friday night and Max might be back for the Avs game.

Avs bubble is going to burst at some point. I'm actually hoping Budaj plays against his old team.
