@Bob_Stauffer: Would not be surprised to see Ryan Smyth back in line-up in Florida next week and @hallsy04 in the mix for the game in Philadelphia

So good news on Hall

Great news on Hall, some semblance of the Pre-season lineup might finally take shape.

Don't have a hot clue as to what is going on with Jesse Joensuu. Hopefully @DP_57 is a short term thing. He's provided much needed compete

Is Joensuu every going to play another game for us?

deafening silence on this player from the team... he hasn't played in 29 days, and we literally haven't heard anything

Makes me wonder if he might be done playing hockey. Maybe the back is so back there's no return.

I guess the only positive is that we generally haven't heard much about injury players this year other then when they are close to coming back. The team might know he's out for 2 months, but we won't know that until week 7.

Please make this a sticky and update the OP accordingly. I'm tired of looking at TSN's injury page. It's very unreliable. Hopkins was still listed as injured and return date listed as unknown 2 days after he'd played his first game.

Well our lineup should look pretty good when Perron, Smyth and Hall come back within the next couple of weeks

Perron/Gagner/Hemsky
Arco/RNH/Eberle
Hall/Gordon/Yakupov
Smyth/Acton/Jones

From Matheson, for what its worth
"Jesse Joensuu, who pulled something in his rib area, might be close to playing."

If it is broken ribs, then the timeline makes sense and its not a chronic problem which would be good news.

Why do we have to find this out from Jim Matheson ? What's the big secret? The team could have released that info easily. We have to play detective to get answers .

If it's pulled ribs it could be a disaster. I played slo-pitch with a guy whose ribs would pop in and out. Would be 100% and then out of no where it would pop out and screw him up for awhile.

The team isn't releasing much info on any injured players. You want info you better hope that one of the guys interviewing MacT find out. Get use to it, because it doesn't appear to be changing.

I think I read a tweet (Maybe Bob Mack??) saying he would be back for the Philly game on the 9th. Has anyone else heard this? Or is it still looking like it will be the full 4 weeks?? Anyone heard anymore updates?

If he comes back for the Philly game, that will be great, we are only without him for 3 more games. But if it does go the full 4 weeks, that will be 7 or 8 more games. Which could put and end to a season that is pretty much already over. Once we have Hall back our top 6 could really start rolling.

Hall Gags Yak
Perron RNH Ebs
JJ Gordon Hemmer

I really like that top nine, hopefully we will be rolling with that by the 9th of November when the season is still savable.

As far as Hall is concerned, i would be shocked if he came back within the next week
I hope he doesn't come back till he is good and ready the way Eakins rides the hell out of them first game back

Stauffer has said basically the same thing on the radio. Its not really based on anything other than Stauffer figures Hall is a "tough kid" who is "just itching to get back"...blah blah blah.

Of course he is. The refs don't give a **** if he he gets crosschecked in the back and punched in the neck. It's open season on the guy.

sadly it was to be expected, given what kind of a player he is.

I can live with discretion on embellishment, Perron's earned a reputation of helping calls along, but protect the player out there. There's no regard for his health and safety letting other teams get away with the **** that happens to him. He gets mugged every single game.

Once an Oiler, always an Oiler? The Blues have placed Magnus Paajarvi on the IR with an "upper body injury."

He mugs or hits the goalie every game, it comes with the territory.
