Trade of significance for you Lethbridge and T-Bird Fans:

"Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell this evening announced the team has acquired left wing Jaimen Yakubowski and right wing Sam Mckechnie from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for left wing Riley Sheen, left wing Carter Folk and a third round selection in the 2015 Bantam Draft."

"Hurricanes General Manager, Brad Robson announced just before the Hurricanes game with Moose Jaw Thursday, they have sent both forwards to the Thunderbirds for 17 year old Forward Carter Folk, 19 year old Forward Riley Sheen and a third round pick in 2015."

Yay, another skilled smurf. Its not like they have BY FAR THE WORST GOALS AGAINST IN THE LEAGUE (by like 20 goals or something ridiculous).

So now Lethbridge has no good players left. Unbelievable.

These guys had combined for 4 points this year, after pretty significant years last year. Could have been part of the problem. Also small, skilled players is a position of strength for the Hurricanes. However, the players they got back don't seem to address the issue of defense.

For what it's worth, Leverton has been excellent for PA this year. He's skated with Gardiner and Draisaitl a lot.

Rebels drop there fourth straight, loosing 4-3 to the Blades last night.

Conner Bleackley showing why he's going to be a Top 15 pick!

And to add insult to actual Injury, star Goaltender Patrik Bartosak was Injured in last night's game, not to sure on length or severity. Anyone know?

I still haven't heard anything on it. I hope he isn't out for long, he's a great player.

Sad to see him injured, excellent goalie if not one of the best in the league, but as the Royals fan who are playing the Rebels next weekend...

Was not expecting the Silvertips to be doing so well, even with bringing back Constantine. Anyone seen many games of theirs, and know why? I haven't gotten to watch a game this season.

I only saw the game in Edmonton but they were excellent defensively. Very good system, well coached. They gave up literally nothing. All the players play as a unit and they hit everything.

I was very impressed. Best club Ive seen against the Oil Kings this year imo.

I liked Spokane too but they kind of ran out of gas in the third. Everett was like a brick wall. Not much offense, but they dont need much. Lotz was great too.

Great to see Patty Bartosak back in net, already putting aside 10 shots.

Rebels taking on the Kooteney Ice tonight, on Shaw.

Rebels let 2-1, and 3-1 leads slip away and eventually lose 4-3 in the Shootout to drop there 5th straight. Things are not going well for the Rebs. Maybe a Road Trip can help wake us up!

The Rebels play there first of six games on this Road Trip, playing there first game in a back-to-back versus the Victoria Royals, looking to snap a five-game loosing streak.

Battle of the best Czech Goalies in the Dub, Patty Bartosak VS. Patrick Polivka. Rebs lead 1-0 after 1, off a Dom Volek goal.

Hadyn Fluery's GWG gave the Rebels a 2-1 win, to snap there five-game loosing streak. Patty Bartosak put aside 42/43 saves for the win. Rebels set to face the Royals again tonight.

Anybody know where I could find highlights of that 7-6 Broncos win?

Winnipeg Jets fan here, just saw this story on Yahoo this morning, I am shaking my head in disbelief especially after watching the news clip. I hope they lay assault charges on this **** meathead at least. Good to hear Marty's all right and he sounds like a special guy to be able to take this random act of absolute stupidity in stride. You da' king of all marmots Marty

OMFG Ryan Pillon (potential top-10 pick of 2015 NHL draft) of the Lethbridge Hurricanes goes home to await a trade. What an effing putrid franchise. He is the only piece on the team worth a damn, congrats Hurricanes, I hope you're happy.

Former-Rebels Goaltender Bolton Pouliot puts aside 36/37 saves to help along a 4-1 win over his former team tonight. The Rebels drop to a 7-10-0-1 record, pretty disappointing thus far.

On the other hand Tristan Jarry stops all 37/37 shots for his 8th career shutout and helps the Oil Kings cruise to a 3-0 win, and improve there record to 10-7-0-1.
