Legwand blows it and we lose in the shootout when we had 2 chances to win it in the SO.

Aside from Smith, I have never seen such lame shootout attempts from this team. Stayed up to 1am for this.

This is a tough loss because we should have won it. Even in the shootout we had the chances. We did get a point but it is like losing it as we scored 4 goals and had 3-0 and 4-2 leads. Cullen's stupid faceoff penalty led us down the road of losing.

Ah, the shootout...our old nemesis.

5 shooters can't get past Greiss?

I'm beginning to think the strategy of putting Weber out there first and having him blast one into the goalie's face might not be such a bad idea.

The nightmares have just begun on this road stretch. Albeit I wasn't even giving us a point for this game anyway. So there's that I suppose.

Jets
Devs
Isles
(Yotes) - 1

this team's losses can be blamed on our forwards. its time wilson, bourque, fisher, forsberg, hornqvist, ect start producing consistently ES.. or call up watson, beck, sissons. this has become a joke when nystrom is a top producing forward ES

thats just pitiful.... and poor Hutton finally stands tall and stop 4 shots and yet we dont have anyone who can put one in....

As bad as our supposed shooters suck I dont see why we don't send out weber as our first shooter, and tell him to aim for the goalies head.... I imagine any goalie in their right mind would crap themselves at the thought of a 106 mph slapper from a distance of 5 feet.... if nothing else it would have to shake up the guy for the next two...

Softie (possibly off Klein but still looked like a bad goal), horrendous defensive lapse, bad penalty, another lapse leading to a breakaway / trip / goal. Hutton didn't make two saves in regulation that he needed to. (1st and 4th). The lapses gave far too many quality chances to the Yotes. Our team defense and Hutton's mistakes cost this game.

Take the point we didn't deserve for the play in the last 45 minutes, go on to LA, try to play a solid 60 minutes on Saturday night.

Other than Legwands (now 10 points) 2 points separate Smith, Fisher, Wilson and Hornqvist out of forwars after him. Not much offence overall.

Just not a team you can afford to let down against. Preds should have known that after seeing how the Yotes came back against the Kings. Frustrating game and a game that should have been a win. Won't be the last. Time to grudgingly take the loser point and put in a better effort next game.

I dont care how bad the defensive lapse was on the second goal you have to be able to stop an unscreened shot from that far out... you have often commented on teams racking up high shot totals with unscreened shots from way out and dismissing these as not being very meaningful... cant have it both ways

That was a hell of a shot that simply beat Hutton. They do occur. It's one thing to blindly shoot from outside ... another to move the puck from the goalie's right to left, feeding a d-man who knows how to score, then leave him alone with time and space to pick his shot.

I'll take the point, even though I don't like the outcome. You should never lose a 3-0 game. It's a bitter pill, but we have to move on. And you're right...the Preds can only blame themselves for the mistakes that lost them the game.

That aside...big picture. Road points are valuable. 2 would've been great, 1 is OK. The problem is that with Rinne out, points (will probably be) tough to come by. But 1 PPG on the road isn't a bad way to live. Problem is, we have to get 2 points in some of them. This would've been a great time for that.
