Did it close again? The BC leased it and re-opened just after last Thanksgiving.

Let me add the Old German Beer Hall on 3rd St behind Turners. Great beers, a brat, a schnitzel (on Saturdays) or the biggest pretzel that I have ever seen! It is based on the Hofbrau Haus in Munich, and has a lot of German beers and food.

The Bradley Center reopened it like adsfan said. Mader's is really good but also really expensive.

I usually go to Goolsby's before and after the game. That's a couple blocks south of the Bradley Center on W. Kilbourn, short walk which will be nice in February.

Thanks for the ideas. We are either doing the February 1st game or the March 15th. Haven't decided for sure just yet. Anything in Milwaukee a must see?

I've wanted to see the Ads play at home for years now. Add a German Beer Hall experience and the trip is elevated to the top of my list. I was able to enjoy Bier und Bratwurst at the Hofbrau Haus when I was in college. I've been to Munich twice since. Always lots of fantastische bier. Ahh the days!!

Good choices for games. February 1st the UW marching band makes their annual trip to the game. Always put on a great show and it looks like March 15th is a yet to be determined postgame concert.

What kind of things are you into? Are you staying downtown and are you willing to travel outside of downtown to see things?

I've enjoyed the Hofbrau Haus in Newport/Cincy before a Reds game before. Really liked it.

Adsfan - I haven't attended an Ads game in years, due to that little issue I have of living in Upnort, Wisconsin.

Depends on what you like. In the Downtown area, the Harley-Davidson Museum, The Public Museum, the Safe House (near City Hall and the Pabst Theatre) and the Potawatomi Casino. Out to the west, the Milwaukee County Zoo, TGIF at Miller Park, the Miller-Coors Brewery tour. To the north of Downtown, the Fashionable East Side on North or Downer Avenues. Way north is Cedarburg and the Old Cedarburg Mill (shopping, antiques, winery etc...). To the south is the Third Ward with taverns, Mexican restaurants and some small theatre groups.

There might be something going on at the Marcus Center (ice skating at red Arrow Park across Water Street near City Hall) or the Milwaukee Theater.

You should find some of our famous Milwaukee gemütlichkeit too.

For you non-German speakers, you can't eat or drink that, only feel it. Prost!

Maybe you heard about my former workplace out in Wales shutting down a couple years ago?

I'm up at Irma nowadays. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the same state.

Ugh, that's rough. My dad lives even further north than that and it's just awful whenever I visit him. I'm not much of the outdoorsy type as it is, when that is literally the only thing to keep you entertained it is the absolute worst.

Must not be Ethan Allen. Sorry to hear that. There is some high school hockey up there. You are literally at the end of the roads in Wisconsin.

Getting back on topic, Salomaki scored last night.

My buddy would probably like the HD museum, I may as well even though I don't care about motorcycles. What is the Safe House?

Spy themed restaurant and bar that you may or may not need to know the password to get in. If you don't know the password you may or may not have to do something on the spy cameras for the people inside to gain access.

Theo Ruth sent to Cincinnati, so Jarvinen may be ready.

Jarvinen did indeed play today. Admirals win again, now 6-0-2-0 on the season. Budish got his first of the year, Beck scored on the PP, Cehlin got his second goal of the year, Salomaki with 2 assists and Mazanec saves 28 of 30.

It has been featured on several cable TV shows. Ones about unusual restaurants, spy themed locations, hidden or underground locations ... Usually the shows are called The Top Ten... on the Travel Channel.

So "that's!" where I've heard of that. It's been bugging the crap out of me. Couldn't remember if I dreamed it or saw it on tv or what. Thank you. Sounds like a fun time for sure on our trip. Anyone want to meet up for a pregame drink before the game?

I've been there a couple of times. It's fun but the food wasn't that memorable.

Good thing you have Pekka locked up, because Magnus looks terrible tonight. I'm at the Ads/Stars game in Austin and Hellberg looks shaky as hell.
