Taken on the whole, he had a solid game (even apart from the goal). But he did have a mistake that ended up in the net. He failed to eliminate his man in front of the net, the puck went through his skates and Chicoutimi scored. It happens.

I like Morin and It is clear as day that he has first pairing offense potential. But he is not as sound on D as I thought he would be and he really struggles with smaller shiftier players ( and the q has about 100 of those types).

I thought the book out on him was Great Defender, physical , but not much offense.

What i am seeing is Great Passer, Howitzer shot, Not very physical and not great in his own zone. But i will continue to emphasize what a great passer he is out of hiz own zone. That will be huge for us.
Thank you to you as well.

I'm still holding out hope he can make Team Canada, even if he made it as a 7th defensemen I would be happy, with Griffin Reinhart suspended for the first three games the 7th guy would still get a good amount of playing time.

Ghost had 3 assists tonight in a 7-2 Union win. One bright spot on this dreary Friday.

Stolarz saved 33 out of 34 for a 4-1 win for London.

Leier had 2 goals as well.

Leier turned up as being credited with 2 goals in the end which is nice.

Good to see Stolarz have a nice bounceback after being pulled 10 minutes into his previous start.

That makes it 1g 6a for Ghost in 6 games.

Thanks for the correction. When I looked up the players, it had only one. Didn't actually get the see them play.

The one thing that is going well for us right now in this dismal season is the Flyers prospects are looking pretty good. I have been a huge Ghost fan since we drafted him, and think he is a blue chipper(even had arguments on here about it) and think he has the ability to become a special player in the league, he just needs to be seasoned the right way(which looks like we are doing so far.)

Him and Alt for basically nothing was pretty nice. 2 2nd round talents who had just had a tough year.

From what I have watched and other guys have also, Alt has looked fantastic. Getting hard minutes and doing well with them.

I heard that Alt had been great yesterday. Really glad!

I also heard Lauridsen is bossing in his own zone at that level... is that true? I doubt he is ever more than a 6/7, but nice to know he is playing ok.

Laughton had a goal & Leier had an assist last night.

Phantoms won 3-1 over Albany. Goals by Straka (2) & VandeVelde. Assists by Cousins (2), Holmstrom, Alt, Newbury, & Akeson.

The Dane hasnt looked to bad, but still makes those boneheaded mistakes at times that leads either to a goal or a really good chance. He has done a solid job overall because he man-handles most players due to his size. Struggles abit with smaller players like most big defenders seem to do.

Overall not "bad" but wouldnt consider it amazing. 6/7 defender is I think a perfect spot for him in the future. Alt has been doing everything right so far. Kid is playing solid defense, and moving the puck up the ice very well. You can see his athletisim and stamina. Its like he is never tired. I have no idea how he would do in the NHL or if he would ever be a regular but ut will only be a matter of time before he gets called up. He deserves it based off of his play. The team though is known for being more comfortable calling up players that have been there before (ie Manning, The Dane, Konan), even though I dont think they have performed as well as Alt has.

Mark Alt has had a very good start so far to his pro career. I'm hoping the Flyers let him play uninterrupted in Adirondack, let him play big minutes, and then challenge for a position on the big club next year.

I am starting to feel a slight giddiness about Alt and Gostisbehere and the possibility they develop into genuine NHLers.

It feels like the last time the Flyers had a genuine reason to be excited for a defensive prospect (ie some realistic feasibility they could one day be a top 4 d man) was Gus when he first came to the Phantoms from N. Michigan... and that was like 4 years ago now.

Add Morin and Hagg on top of that as well...

Non of them are sure fire things, but the promise on D has not been there in a long time.

Morin with the assits. Now that Oligny is back he is less of a threat on the blueline during the PP .

I've read Hagg and Ghost are plus skaters but im curious about Alt and Morin's mobilty. It seems to be a problem for the Flyers Blueline this year.

Alt and Morin are both very good skaters for player's of their size. I haven't seen Alt as much as I have seen Morin, but he has always been known as a big, athletic guy. That was his calling card. Morin has rare mobility for his size. He sometimes has trouble with his pivot, but it's not uncommon for a big, young defenseman. He's got pretty fluid hips as well. I believe his skating will only get stronger as he matures and fills out his lower half. I don't think he'll be a guy that will carry a ton of weight either, so I don't see that holding him back either.

I'm not sure if their site is up to date...is he up to 25 points in 13 games or 30 in 14... Either way hes on fire since being sent down.

It's 25, their players stats update as soon as they actually score a goal or record an assist in a game.

Awesome thanks for the info and updated stats. Parks seems to finally be healthy and coming around. This is the last year we have his rights correct? Also good to see ghost progessing nicely, I'm excited for him to come to the pros, let's just hope the flyers continue to take their time.
