You could make a more veteran line with Gordon, maybe with Hemsky and Jones or something like that and play them against the other team's big line. Let the dipsy-doodlers play against worse players so they aren't constantly fishing the puck outta their net.

So why is our shutdown center Boyd Gordon not used as such? What a waste. Use Gordon against Z and Dats, and give RNH or Gagner more sheltered minutes for **** sake.

I pity everyone that thought oilers were capable of pulling out a win. Somebody give Lars Eller a medal

How is Todd Bertuzzi still this effective?

Detroit broadcast team seems to rival the Canucks for over the top homer commentary.

There are no "worse" players on the Wings.

I'm no Eakins fan (pretty neutral so far actually) but if you have a roster where your seven best players are all under 23 at some point don't you just have to roll them out there? Can't hide from a roster like the Wings throw at you.

So many dumps to the neutral zone giving up possession when there is a wide open teammate. They'll be chasing the puck all night.

Of course theres worse lines. There is only 1 datsyuk line... Against Kessel, our matched like was -4. Against Ovi, -4. You have to put a shut down line on them. The young guys had their chance and the team is having one of the worst starts in Oilers history. Time to start sheltering as much as you can.

I love how some of you cant get off your high horse... The swarm does not happen every play... the bad part is many of our players didnt know how to fall back to the zone D because bozos like kreuger never taught it to them cause he was obsessed with man to man... Let the guy coach its not his fault we have had wasted years under incompetent coaches...

Ya...plus they are laughing at the Oilers. FML!

I'm not even mad because I'd be laughing at them too...

If I spent as much time studying as I've wasted on the Oilers, I'd be a brain surgeon by now.
