Stars @ Senators

Loss aside, this was Ottawa's best game outside of the Detroit game.

Keep Boro, acquire top 3 defender and watch this team soar.

Good to hear Andy is doing well.

KEY STAT:

Ottawa held Dallas to just 5 shots in the third!

Gotta take a positive out of this game. Team looked a lot better.

Boro looked great. Cowen was much better outside of the 1st period. Spezza scoring again. Karlsson, MacArthur, Turris and Ryan continue to dominate. Smith was real good again.

Happy to hear Andy is up and walking.

4 wins 10 losses. We suck. There is no reason to be positive at this point. This team isn't making the playoffs.

Horrid 1st period, rest of the game we owned them.
Don't really care bout the loss cause it's in SO where we always suck. I just don't know why we don't try EK65 in shootouts? he could be good with his speed

Just keep Neil, far, far, away from Smith, on the fourth line.

Maclean needs to stop doing the same **** in the shootout and the team needs to play a full 60 minutes.

No excuses if we lose on Tuesday. It's either 2 points or a failure.

On another note... Karlsson looked excellent today! He was dynamic both ends of the ice.

He made a couple iffy plays but recovered for majority! Attaboy King Erik! Got it going again.

4-6-4. One spot out of a playoff spot.

70 point pace right now. We can do it if we sting together some 4-5 game win streaks.

Two spots.
At this point we need to leapfrong the New York Rangers for a Wild Card spot.

Both teams have 12 points but the Rangers have 6 wins.
We need at least four more points to tie Montreal or Boston for one of the wild cards AND we need regulation time wins. We are third worst in the Atlantic with four ROW.

TLDR: This team needs to get its **** togetehr and win 4-5 in a row, losing no more than 1-2 in a row, consistently or we will be out by December.

Yep, last 40 minutes were very strong. If we would've played 60 minutes like this it would've been a regulation win for sure.

Regardless, at some point this team actually needs to win a game to not fall completely out of it.

That still looks like 4 wins and 10 losses to me.

In true Sens fashion, I expect Foligno to score a hat trick against us next game.

Greening-Spezza-Zibanejad
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Conacher-Smith-Michalek
Kassian-Grant-Neil

I think we've found a forward group we can work with.
