Is Hockeystreams.com worth it. 110 dollars for a year for all the games rigth? That doesn't seem bad at all with junior hockey being included. Anyone have any insight on this? Thank you.

Just got a job today!! Going to work Sales with the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cards AAA). I'll have to discover some way to watch the Flyers there once I make the trek down.

So thrilled to have this opportunity in sports, to advance in sports, and to get the hell out of retail

The team is run by Global Spectrum (out of Philly of course) and the team's GM worked in both Philly and Trenton for both arenas.

Lost a lot of faith in humanity when I saw people actually dressed up as Trayvon Martin and Boston Marathon bombing victims for Halloween. Some people deserve to be beaten.

Somehow, walking around as a bloody tampon costume is way more tame and sensible in comparison.

An old roommate of mine went to a Halloween party and saw two guys dressed as VT shooting victims only 6 months after the incident. They were out of towners, but they also happened to be at a party at Virginia Tech, so it went exceptionally poorly. He said they were removed from the party once they confirmed their costume, then he heard the distinct sounds of a brutal ass kicking in the back yard.

How dumb can people be?

Going down to the University of Alabama next weekend. My buddy goes to school there and it's finally time I make my way down there for a game. Alabama vs. LSU. Just saw College Gameday is down there too. Should be a great time. Have seats in the student section in the lower bowl.

Nice. How'd you manage that?

A friend of mine attends Ohio State; he's been there for three years and hasn't been able to get to a game yet.

Greek life rules the south haha. Greek life has their own specific sections for each fraternity and sorority. So his fraternity has a section to the right of the goal posts I believe.

Does anyone here do photoshop requests, such as inserting a face of player into another picture (like the "posters" from movies that have been floating around with our guys' faces photoshopped in)?

Physicists probe urination 'splashback' problem

Shouldn't these guys be referred to as Pissacists?

Holmgren and Snider are sitzpinklers....

Quote:
US physicists have studied the fluid dynamics of urine "splashback" - and found tips to help men and women with their accuracy and hygiene.

Using high-speed cameras, the team filmed jets of liquid striking toilet walls and studied the resulting spray.

Splashback was low when the jets were used close up with a narrow "angle of attack", said the Brigham Young University team.

They will present their research at an American Physical Society meeting.

"In response to harsh and repeated criticisms from our mothers and several failed relationships with women, we present the splash dynamics of a simulated human male urine stream," reads their conference abstract.

Perhaps it's my inner cynic, but this test is stupid. I know everyone can't be doing cancer research but come on, this?

Should Yoda have let Obi-Wan tell Luke that Vader was his father? I don't know. The scene in the Cloud City shaft where Vader reveals his true identity was pretty bad-ass, even if it's no longer shocking since everyone in the world knows this now, so that doesn't happen like it did if Obi-Wan told Luke. It probably changes how the Obi-Wan/Vader duel on the Death Star happens, too. But it's good that Obi-Wan at least wanted to be up front about the whole situation from the start.

What's that? Not sure why I'm bringing this up? Well, check out this deleted scene that has recently come to light:

Yeah, it was deleted, so it's not technically canon. But scenes get deleted from films all the time for reasons other than writers/director's changing their mind about plot points.

They have a marathon of Band of Brothers going on today on HBO Signature. Last episode is about to start. Still easily the best show I've seen in my life.

Agreed 100%

Love Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, and others...but I'm not sure anything will ever come close to the epicness and sorrow of Band of Brothers.

In other news, does any/everyone else have those sound ads at the bottom of their pages? I might have to take a break from HF until those are gone...I've opened 2 pages and I'm already annoyed
