and to make it worst, ferrence (added an extra 'r' for extra retard) was quoted as saying that 'some' players simply refuse to play eakins' system and i'd bet both of my nuts that its those supposed 'young guns'. at this point, they're more like 'young toe-drags'.

Former captain Horcoff mentioned something similar, that it's hard to earn their respect when you're playing on the 3rd line and they're top line guys.

Watching Landeskog and the Avs last night, I was in awe of how dominant and how complete of a player Landeskog is. I never got that sentiment about RNH when watching the Oilers. Heck I had to force myself just to notice him.

I can't help but wonder how good Landeskog and Galchenyuk would look on the same line. And to think Edmonton could have put them together.

The funny part is, the Flames will be done their rebuild before the Oilers haha

Eakins did well in the AHL and it's suprising that he is getting no results with the Oilers. If they fire him, they let the players win. They need to shake it up and trade at least 2 young forwards away and replace them with good veteran talent, the problem is that nobody wants to play in Edmonton.

Why didn't any Habs forwards drive the net in the playoffs? Nichushkin just drove right through Anderson. Hope he's not too hurt.

I'm more amazed that 63% Karlsson looked like a pylon instead of stealing the puck from Nichushkin and scoring on Dallas from that same spot in one swift motion.

I mean, something more than that. Like being suspended.

How is Patrick Kane a -9? Is he that bad defensively? He's got the team worst +/-. Keith is a -1 and everybody else is a +.

Good thing +/- means nothing in my hockey pool.

Yeah, that's a horrible play by Karlsson. He might want to do more than just stand there.

These young kids are incredible. 2013 draft looking very very solid, like many predicted.

This 18 year old's confidence and hands are amazing.

Forsberg goal is so overrated now.. anyone can do it.

Hell, I can do it and I'm a goalie. Easy to stop too, one you see that hand come off the stick, boom.

His D has actually been much improved this year

But his +/- took hits from 2 poor games for him and team (Khabibulin blowup game vs Lightning and Game vs Wild right after)

-6 in those 2 games inflated his season total

And yet he has only been a plus in two games so far this year. Two points against St. Louis, -1. Two points against TB, -3. Two points against Calgary, even. Managed to be a plus with a multi-point game against Minny, though, good for him.

Producing on the power play is going to do that to him. I know because I had Kane in my pool before trading him away for Kessel, Martin St. Louis and James Neal.
