The first of those offside calls was wrong, but yeah, he had a pretty bad game. Not sure I'd rather have Pyatt though

I'm still mad about Brassard's pass. That garbage is literally pee-wee level.

effort was MUCH better than the last time we played them.

CLEARLY they are the better team.

Still can't handle the big strong and fast forwards. Those teams are going to beat us consistently.

Fire this clown vingdouchebag NOW & trade Lundqvist ASAP while he can still be traded for a kings ransom.

We lost one after a 3 game win streak. Calm down...

The first half of the third period was ALL Ducks. They looked like the team that was desperate for a goal.

Sorry, I've felt the Rangers have played well in every game since the Detroit game but I wasn't impressed with them at all tonight.

all the negative nancies can come back out of the woodwork now and tell us about how terribly flawed this team is, how much del zotto sucks despite scoring a goal, and how much this team needs to sell and tank.

pretty even game, definitely winnable it would have been more so if we had played the entire game like we did the last 40 minutes

Rangers looked afraid and nervous during a big portion of the game.

And of course Rangers get a TMM penalty.

They need to score on these backups though. This is getting pathetic.

The lack of finish ability is a HUGE problem. They played fine but you have to be able to score.

It's a problem against good teams that limit your chances.

Why should the Rangers have won? That Anaheim team is as good as I have seen this year. Fast and big in spades.

I expected the Rangers to lose so I can't say I'm disappointed. At least they were more competitive against the Ducks this time. Del Zotto and Staal played well as did Hank.

Buts lots of problems that the Rangers had a few weeks ago reared their ugly heads yet again. Bad turnovers and carelessness with the puck, uninspired play for portions of the game, failure to capitalize on scoring opportunities, pinned in their own zone for periods of time, etc. The Rangers had a great chance to tie the game but they totally blew it with those stupid penalties.

Right now, the Rangers can beat bad teams but they aren't capable of winning games against the league's elite. Wednesday should be interesting.

I think the main issue is the lack of skating explosiveness from our centers. Even though the Rangers made adjustments and started to use the middle of the ice more; our centers just can't move quickly enough up the ice.

I don't think there is anything you can do about that...

The defense, top to bottom, played a fantastic game. G and McD were average (for them, which is still very good), but MDZ and Staal both had their best games of the season. Staal, for the first time this season, looked as dominant as he has in the past. Hopefully both of those guys can build from this game. No complaints about Lundy or any of our D.

The forwards? Different story. Kreider and MZA kept trying to make plays, but everyone else was just awful. Pouliot had his worst game of the season. Stepan and Richards looked out of sync with everyone else. Step didn't seem to know where anyone else was, and Richards was just blasting one timers with no regard for where he was on the ice (there were a few times when he had miles of open ice between him and the goal--he could have moved the puck in for a better percentage shot or given someone else time to screen this week's Vezina candidate, but he just kept ripping away).

I'm concerned that Cally came back too early. I didn't notice him at all, and there aren't many games you can say that about Cally. Hags, after the first period, was invisible as well.

Hopefully the D KEEPS playing this way, and the forwards show up next time.

Anyone who thinks the Rangers were collectively bad tonight knows nothing about hockey. A few bad plays that Anaheim took full advantage of, and that was it.

All in all, a game that only the Rangers could lose only at Madison Square Garden. Inexplicable bounces and a ridiculous back-up goaltender.

Seriously. And how often are goalies traded for THAT much anyways? Rangers could trade Lundqvist and people would ***** about the return endlessly.

Hank was good tonight. If anyone is being traded it needs to be one of our D, for a scoring winger.

Even with Nash back in the lineup we don't have all the pieces.

There are 24 or 25 better hockey teams than the Rangers, so I guess we should get used to this.

Another minus for Staal. He now has the worst plus/minus in the NHL.

I'm sure Mashinter's 2:50 of ice time was worth benching Miller for.

Ana not the better team. Rangers team just didn't show up for 45/60 minutes in the game.

Can't win a game when you don't show up for 3/4 of it.

Pouloit is a spare forward. He's the 13th guy. Can't be a top 6 winger. AV needs to learn quicker.

Pyatt and Mashinter over Miller? He couldn't have been useful in terms of an energetic player? He's certainly more useful than Poo, Pyatt, and Mash offensively.

Stop playing favorites AV. There needed to be a time out taken when we came out as sluggish as we did and it didn't change for 15 minutes.
