In another move to get younger the Canucks announced they have traded dan hamhuis and Anton Rodin to the Colorado avalance for Tyson Barrie, jan hejda and a 2015 1st round pick.

This deal now gives the Vancouver Canucks 3 first round draft picks in the Connor mcdavid sweepstakes.

The Canucks are rumoured to be shopping hejda who has 2 years 3.25M left on his deal now.

Don't shoot the messenger... But after the 2014 draft, the prospects are made up and purely fictional. McDavid will never be in the GM Connected.

Confirmed

Nice to add à longterm option with a lot of expérience like Hamhuis. Good luck to Tyson and Jan in Vancouver.

Same to dan. Hate to part with him but barrie fills the needs of Vancouver more so than dan.

Hejda is already rumoured to be on his way to Washington

Yeah, there's no connor mcdavid in GMC.

But that's actually a good thing. Fictional draftees have a chance to be usable, real ones, not so much.

Confirming,

Bodker is a solid player who plays well above his overall,

Adding OEL is massive.

Ericsson would have been scratched , just with D depth coming in,

very happy about this deal

I think it should be up to the GMs to redo trades. Some of them were made when the league was only half full, so they might get better offers. Also, now that we can't retain salary in trades, that might change some things too.

In other news, the will listen to offers on Giroux. Start with two young, 85+ players, please.

Also willing to move Couturier or Vinny, as well as any defenseman not named Schenn or Mezsaros.

Several of us believe that one of the several potential causes of league crashes are multiple trades involving uneven contracts during the same window.

Something to take into consideration going forward--in my opinion, teams should not be permitted to make more than one trade per window, and it should have to be an even swap in terms of number of contracts. That's not really a trade restriction (which this league doesn't have), but its sort of common sense.

i have no idea why this league doesnt have a 3-4 trade per season max that most leagues have, only makes sense..

Its because most leagues have them--people wanted something different.

Besides, few teams made more than that many trades, and the league still crashed. It doesn't seem like the volume of trades per season is really an issues--the volume of trades per an advance--maybe.
