While we do need someone like Ekblad, next season would be better to lose in because McDavid is supposed to be the next coming of Gretzky or something and because nobody is going to out-suck the likes of Buffalo this season. Then there's a few teams on par with our suck in Edmonton and NJ.

I've been a Flyers fan since 1967, but after watching the first two periods, I turned off the game. This is one of the worst collection of players I've ever seen wearing the orange & black. I call them a collection of players because they don't come close to resembling a team.
The best players have been the goalies, yet they can't score.
Holmgren should just hand in his resignation, because he's created a complete cluster **** of a team through his bad trades.
FUBAR is the state our team is in right now.
This season is horrendous!

Judge a Hockey Player by his action on the Ice .. you know his job. Not by his interview skills.

Either every team plays great defense against the Flyers, or the Flyers forgot how to play hockey. At least score a few goals if you're going to lose.

Ugn, watching highlights of other games is painful.

Missed both games against the Canes this year.

The boxscore for this one depresses me...

At least the coaches hopefully know the following by now:
- Luke Schenn's fault? WRONG
- Erik Gustafsson's fault? WRONG

Scratch Timonen and Mez for Schenn and Gus. Scratch Giroux and if there's room, bring up Akeson.

it bothers me when fans see something painfully obvious that a professional coach doesn't apparently.

If there were just one player being wrongly benched maybe we could assume off-ice issues or some crap, but two?

The rest makes sense in some way, but doing that basically almost guarantees a loss. Doesn't matter much, but Giroux's under performance is being pretty vastly overstated at this point and we need him for any realistic hope of offensive production which is what the biggest problem is right now.

When Hal Gill is one of your better defenders, you got problems.

What the **** was Giroux doing on the game tying goal. He just ole'd Staal trying to "defend" him. Then in OT we let a guy with cement in his skates(I like Manny but the man isnt a good skater) walk right in and have a breakaway in OT.
This game is all on our great and wonderful captain who once again came up small. I am getting tired of his act. a few weeks ago I was letting it slide because he never had a preseason. Now there are no more excuses. zero goals and 7 assists.
Now on to our coach. the guy many wanted around here. He continues to play Meszaros who by all accounts might be one of the worst defenders in the league. easily on this team. Oh yeah lets scratch Luke Schenn as well for Hal ****ing Gill.
brilliant. ****ing brilliant.

i feel really bad for Mason. The poor guy has played his heart out this season and given this team a chance to win just about every night and he has a bunch of gutless ****ing candyasses playing in front of him. Whoever said they would approve of Mason punching Giroux and Grossman in the face after the game tonight would be a good idea count me in in being agreement.
what a sad joke this team Mason aside is.

Our offense is officially worst in the league at 1.57 goals per game.

If they keep playing like this, but against good teams, that number could drop below 1.00.

So sad to watch this team. At least Voracek looks like a good player who is snake bitten, G on the other hand, looks like an AHL player.

Oilers GM Craig MacTavish and president Kevin Lowe scouted the game. The Oilers are on an East Coast swing and visit Philly on Saturday, but they could also be interested in swinging a deal for one of their young players. Edmonton is buried in the Western Conference after a poor start in a year they were supposed to contend for a playoff spot. MacTavish and Lowe were at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

Scratch someone and call up Straka or Akeson, anything to TRY and get a little bit of offense.

Anybody still thinking Giroux is good at playing defense?
I remember when I called him out last year and everybody jumped at me...

Where is hckyplayer8? He should change his avatar picture that is saying 'bum' from Bryz to G.
