I work in Bergen County law enforcement. I can tell you that it will take HOURS and all those officers to clear that mall. In a situation like that you have to go store to store room by room roof to basement. Plus leave officers at all doors and in all secured/cleared areas.

Will be a long night for those guys thats for sure.

That's pretty awesome, I love old maps.

I would love to go through Central Park along where the old road was and where the old fort was with a metal detector. I think it would be an absolute treasure trove of amazing stuff you'd find (assuming you didnt get arrested).

Yea I love old pictures and maps as well - there are a few pages on FB "Vintage Bergen County" and "Old New Jersey" that users submit old pictures and it's really neat to see what areas you are familiar with, looked like when your grandparents and parents were kids

Yeah, I love that stuff. Old picture overlays of what the areas look like today is awesome too (there's a Twitter of WWII pics superimposed on current day that's interesting too).

What I'd really love is to find one of those old 18th Century West Jersey/East Jersey maps and frame it. Kindof big'ish bucks, but would be amazing on the wall.

Take a look here - first page has 1777 map of the state - not expensive at all I've ordered from the site before with no issues

I meant a real one! I'm big into Colonial American history and collect historical artifacts like Continental Currency, etc...... Though maybe I will just buy a replica like that link you posted, those do look pretty sweet.

There's so much history there it's amazing, and the shame of it is they dont teach it in the schools. Most people have ZERO idea the things that happened down there. For instance, over on the east side where NYU is on 1st avenue is where the Continental line and works were, and off the east shore there was the English armada that bombarded them and from where the English came ashore. Thousands of Americans died in prison barges anchored off the coast of lower Manhattan. Washington's farewell speech at FT and his inaugural address on the steps off Wall Street. You can go on and on and on.....amazing stuff, and it's criminal that it's not passed on

Amazing Chinese version of the message in a bottle story. Guy writes from prison labor camp and smuggles note out in Halloween toys they were forced to make.

Wednesday. It's probably not going to happen, and if it does it will probably only be flurries to an inch or so for northernmost Jersey. But there was a GFS run earlier today that displayed a big snowstorm for Jersey. This was an outlier though, and very, very, very low probability that that happens. I'm just excited to be looking at snow maps/charts again. Ski season is almost here!

Just found out that the website I report for: AlternativeNation.net was mentioned on Monday's episode of The Howard Stern Show when Robin Quivers was reading the news! Robin referenced Alternative Nation by name when discussing our report on the rumors of Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan purchasing TNA Wrestling. 3:01:40 in

Studied 2 weeks straight for a single business taxation exam. 3 essays, 10 points max per. You need 20 to PASS the exam... 120 hours or my life gone to waste, ill never pass.

Edit: exam material was 1200 pages of sheer joy.

That seems far too high. It's overvalued.
