It is up to Bologna? Once the loan is expired, Bologna have to take them back, no? I was under the impression the loans were set to expire in January...

Yes. They might want to loan him back here but I hope we're interested elsewhere.

Tony Marinaro was the one who started that rumour. Bernardello wasn't asked to address it, though.

That's what I thought as well but Pisanu said "We (him + Paponi) have a contract with Bologna for 3 years. We were loaned to Montreal and now it's up to Bologna to decide what they want to do."

Ah, it makes sense, it means they don't know where they will be and that Bologna will decide. It has nothing to do with thei loan here.

So basically everybody said they don't know if they'll be back next season.

Phil Germain was there and has some opinions based on interviews plus gut feelings:

-Good chance Ferarri will not return
-Shally seems to have no negotiating power. He will do whatever JS and NDS choose.
-Arnaud might sign with SKC, thats where he wants to be
-Brovsky will remain here for a long time
-Perkins is probably gone(homesick? I think that's what "le mal du pays" means?)
-Paponi and Pisanu gone

Like I said, this is his opinion, but it all seems perfectly reasonable.

What a blow if Ferrari does not return. Already fairly thin defence gets even thinner (and way younger) very fast.

Don't get me wrong, Ferrari was a player I liked a lot, he was a leader, but I think it's easier to find a stud defenseman to play in this league than a playmaker or striker.

I just hope they don't rely on Rivas on the top 2 CBs or Lefevre being 1st choice on the bench, we'll need a lot more depth than that.

Sad but true. Can't really blame him, he gave everything, but he seems like the type of guy that wants to live in LA/NY. I mean after all, he almost signed with NYRB, but it fell apart last minute.

If Ferrari is to leave, we would have to do EVERYTHING in our power to get our hands on Aurelien Collin. Then you bring back Zarek to play on the right and play Hassoun with Collin down the middle with Rivas alternating

Sad but untrue. Ferrari was slipping this season so I am not so depressed he wont be around. However I am excited to see who will replace him. If we picked up a guy like Piscu we are golden in finding a replacement.

Figure it is pretty much on-target too. Schallibaum's one card might be that three coaches in as many years is sorta TFCish.

Bush made it pretty clear he thinks he's ready to be a #1 'keeper. Said that next week's discussions will probably determine whether that'll happen here or elsewhere. I would not be dismayed to have him step in if/when Perkins moves on.

Wow! Sounds like next year's team will have a whole lot of new faces! I can't say I'm disappointed to hear that.

From what I've gathered from the past two days, we'll have a whole new team except for 4-5 guys...

I expect Camara, Brovsky, Bernardello, Bernier, Felipe(?) and Di Vaio to be the only ones that will stay.

Although NDS said yesterday that most players will come back next year. That's not what we heard today from the players. Most guys seem not really sure, could they be just waiting whether Schalli will be fired?

If Ferrari doesn't return, I have a feeling that he would go to another MLS team...preferably a team with an NBA team? The guy is always posting NBA related stuff on his Twitter (just a theory)!

I think Romero, Felipe and Bernardello will be back though. I doubt they will cut him after half a season (especially since I think Warner will be gone).

I expect Di Vaio to do a lot of recruiting, I hope he helps us get some good players. I read online that Drake is helping TFC recruit players

More than 4-5, even including the kids.

They are all staying, plus Bush, Brovsky, Camara, Bernier, Felipe, Mapp, Di Vaio.

Romero seems probable, and i'm not convinced Bernardello is gone just yet.

Also Lopez will be back, essentially a new player.

Maybe more, everyone else is pretty uncertain. It sounds like a lot of these discussions will be made in the next week.

Not sure if anyone is watching the end of this NYRB - HOU game but it's pretty good. I only turned it on around the 70th min but lots of chances. Henry almost scored on a bicycle kick in the 90th min.
