Watching the Flyers this season has been very painful to say the least... So I have been watching some youtube clips lately. These are a couple of my favorites from recent years. This first one is Mike Richards laying a big hit and then eventually scoring a short handed goal against Montreal in the playoffs a few years ago. The second one is Claude Giroux laying a big hit and then scoring the first goal of a deciding game in the playoffs a couple years ago. I love these tone setting type of plays. After each one, I remember just having the feeling that nothing was going to stop us from winning those exciting playoff games. Do you guys know of any other plays and moments like these that just changed the tone or set the tone?
Here is Richards goal against Montreal. The crowd getting louder and louder in the moments right before he nets it still gives me goosebumps!
