Haha. Good one.

Actually it's their inability to win a shootout (0-3 in a shootouts) and the fact that Lefebvre insists on playing Mayer just as much as Tokarski. Mayer is just as likely to make a big save as he is to let in a soft, backbreaking goal.

Combine those two with extremely questionable coaching decisions (no time out last night, randomly shuffling lines that are hot, playing players that don't deserve to play, etc.) and you got a recipe for disaster.

So I had a phone discussion with my brother to get better details about what Breeze said about Nygren.

He said that in the organization's view, Nygren was the most ready after Tinordi in camp and that right now he is their most ahead D-man prospect, but they don't want to rush him in the nhl because they want him to continue improve his gap control and pivoting on the smaller ice surface, and they'd rather he do this in the ahl. They feel as though he is an nhl player.

Well one positive out of last night's blowout is that Lefebvre might have no choice but to start Tokarski for a while now.

Mayer could have 5 straight bad perfomances and Lefebvre would probably still use him the same way he does.

That's crazy since Mayer doesnt have NHL potential and Tokarsky has.

Man, Lefebvre makes Therrien look like Scotty Bowman. I think I'd rather have Cunneyworth coach the Dogs than this guy.

To be fair, did you guys really think that Tinordi or Beaulieu would require only 1 AHL season ? I'm actually stoked by what they have shown thus far in the NHL even though they are not quite ready to be constant contributors there yet. Leblanc has been mishandled though, by all account.

This is maddening! Lefebvre has NO business developing our future.

I'm just checking the box scores. They're so slow.

I think he's doing a great job, with the D's especially, but some forwards are developing well too. I agree that some of those players would probably develop well with any coach (Bournival/Tinordi/Gallagher notably), but still, they developed and are developing still well with Lefebvre.

Leblanc, well, he had the wrong mindset coming into last season, came in bad shape. He did have a strong start, then the injury came in. Many players struggled with that, a certain Crosby, had trouble coming back from such an injury, so the fact that Louis wasn't the same player afterwards is understandable.

Louis really thought he was going to make the Habs, but it's not because you play third/fourth line on the last team in the East that you're ready for the NHL full time. Seeing other players called up was tough on him, but that's not Lefebvre's fault, he wasn't playing well.

It didn't work out with Berger nor Avtsin, but Berger didn't have the skating and wasn't ready to make the sacrifices, while Avtsin didn't put effort in practices, that's why Lefebvre didn't play him.

Holland is not the same player he was when he first played for the Dogs, he deserves credit, but Lefebvre certainly had his play into that.

In all the players he coached, I don't note many that regressed or got burned, maybe 2-3. The rest are developing well, something the Habs were terrible at for a while.

Results were not there on the ice last year, but as I said, I don't put a lot into that personally.

He's human, he will make errors, bad calls, but I think he did more good moves than bad ones.

Hamill. Beaulieu passed the puck to Leblanc in the offensive zone, Leblanc can't handle the pass and it bounces off him and down the ice two on one for Uttica. Hamill didn't even shoot the puck it just sort of trickled in at 1 km an hour off his skate for like 5 seconds just trickling in.

Tokarski. Wasn't really that terrible on his part, he covered the guy who originally had the puck and nobody was playing defense apparently.
