Maybe just nostalgia though.
I know people seem to like him, I just think he gets way to excited about situations that really are not that dangerous "Titta på Zlatan TITTA PÅ ZLATAN TITTA PÅ....". On the bright side I'll at least have something to laugh at

Holmgren is OK. But he's annoying when he doesn't know the player and always referring to the number of the jersey before the name. It's like he checking his papers at the same time... But atleast he's not Anders "pucken" Fredriksson. I can't stand him saying "pucken" a minimum of 50 times/period. He should really listen to how NA announcers does a match.

I hate him, for the same reason. One reason why many can manage to like him could be that they neither can see the difference between a no-chance and a real chance. The angle may be forced to be too bad when getting to shoot, the players balance may be on the wrong foot, too many opponents will get back into position, or something else. Holmgren dont really understand the game so he also often calls a shot at times when one is far from certain and most often becomes a pass, and vice versa.
I'm not really a fan of his sweaty and unrightfully self confident appearence either.

Also, can't believe some people actually have J. Lundqvist on their team. He has trouble keeping up with the EHT tempo. I get the impression there will be one or two european players on the team, I'd rather see Thörnberg or Hjalmarsson in that case.
It is not what I want (no euro players) it is about what I think Mårts will do.

seems to be a campign going on that simon hjalmarsson should make the team becuse he was good against a f-team from czech republic. there is some talk that he is the perfect 4th liner (he NEVER hits) and much better than hagelin etc. im so tired of all ********. wtf is wrong with some people? this squad should be 100 % nhl, thats it. mårts should get fired, maybe even get som prison-time if hjalmarsson makes the team.

Was Hjalmarsson even that impressive? I only remember his goals, where Arlbrandt did most of the work. I see Hjalmarsson as a solid player who doesn't stand out in any particular area, definitely not Olympic team material.

The Fat One above has some solid views that's for sure.

I was a little unsure about Hagelin before the season, but i would guess that he will silence such thoughts for good now before christmas. Staffan Kronwall as our eight defender might be able to live with. Thörnberg as a checker that is really our 14th forward.

I agree what's wrong with people? Do people really think these "euro hockey tour games" means or mesure anything?

Just because you can score goals against lesser competition, it doesnt automaticly translate that you can do it against world class players. Scoring against a bunch of nonames doesnt mean a squat.

I mean 6, Bäckström as well! Would Klasen have been top 20 if he was in NHL?

No but he would probably be a pretty good 2nd liner if he just got the chance, had he been either taller or Canadian he would play in the NHL.

I like Klasen. A bit too tiny, but excellent player none the less.

We can only hope, but nothing suprises me with Mårts anymore I would'nt be shocked if Persson makes the olympic roster.
And him making the Swedish olympic roster would be the equivalent of say Braydon Coburn making the Canadian olympic roster..

There's no reason to break up a proven terrific line like Sedin - Sedin - Eriksson. The same thing goes for Bäckström with Alfredsson; the only good (in fact very good) line in Vancouver.

So my forwards go like this:

Sedin - Sedin - Eriksson
Steen - Bäckström - Alfredsson
Zetterberg - Mojo - Hörnqvist
Landeskog - Berglund/Söderberg * - Silfverberg

* I'm not too hot on Berglund, I might give it to Söderberg if he shows better shape in february, even though he's used as a left wing in Boston.

Tre Kronor's best line when we've had a bit of NHL talent on the national team in recent years..
Vancouver 2010: Eriksson-Bäckström-Alfredsson
Stockholm 2012: Franzén-Zetterberg-Eriksson (My personal favorite of the three when you factor in 5v5 dominance)
Stockholm 2013: Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson

Eriksson has shown he can play with anybody, and in fact with all of our top centers.
