6. Jacob Trouba (ANA)
7. Hampus Lindholm (MIN)
8. Nail Yakupov (PIT)
9. Matt Dumba (WPG)
10. Tom Wilson (TB)

2011
1. Gabriel Landeskog (EDM)
2. Jonathan Huberdeau (COL)
3. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (FLA)
4. Dougie Hamilton (NJ)
5. John Gibson (NYI)
6. Mark Scheifele (OTT)

6. Beau Bennett (TB)
7. Mikael Granlund (CAR)

Guys, Anaheim would still take Lindholm if he's still there at six.

Between Lindholm and Trouba, I think Anaheim would take either.

They had the choice of those two and chose Lindholm. Nothing has happened that would change that.

Why would Seguin go over Hall exactly?

IMO, Trouba has taken significant steps forward and is a much more valuable piece than originally thought. I doubt Trouba would even make it to #6, if the draft were re-done today. I think he goes 2, 3 or 4, at this point.

I'm guessing health and current production

plus the team he came form emphasized defensive awareness. I personally have DO NOT BIG doubts but I have medium sized doubts about both, but if there were a ruling that their teams had been found guilty of tampering and my team was given either as compensation for violating the tampering rule of course I would love to have either on my team.

Only thing I would change is Johansen back into the top 5. He's a top 6 player on any team in the nhl and is a first line on majority. He's going up against every teams top lines, shutting them down, and even producing with Umberger and Foligno on his sides.

Not sure why Brodin and Yakupov are so low on your lists. I would think about taking brodin top 3 if not first. And even though Yakupov is having trouble right now, i don't understand how you guys could rank reinhart or rielly ahead of him lol... Seriously?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to slam Trouba in any way. He's one of the four defensemen that are looking incredible in the early going from that draft. I don't see a front runner out of Rielly, Trouba, Lindholm, or Murray. All of those teams look like big winners. The scary thing is that there are three other teams that went with D that I think may end up doing just as well, but it will take a little longer for it to happen.

Brodin should be at worst 4th in his draft class. Hall is easily better than Seguin cannot believe how underrated he is.

Uh, I like Johansen but isn't it a bit too early to say that he's a first-liner on majority of NHL teams? Right now I doubt that he'd be a first-liner on half of the NHL teams.

Tampa would not be taking Bennett over Connolly, we're quite happy with him despite what other fans may think. In 2012 we would've still taken Koekkoek and Vasilevskiy but just in the opposite order as long as Koekkoek was there at 19.

How about we include Gallagher for the 2010 draft.

He's 4th or 5th IMO.

Kind of unfair to look at it that way. In 2010 it was Hall or Seguin, can't really look at who might be drafting next year or beyond. Knowing what we know now, I still take Hall over Seguin. I would, however, also take Landeskog over Hopkins at this point.
