I think Ghost is no longer eligible.

Stolarz will probably be the backup.

Haag will play a big role for Sweden.

I have doubts Morin gets an invite to camp. Canada has a lot of Dmen, but it's possible.

Laughton is a lock.

Laughton may end up being the Canada's number one center, or at least the most important center overall.

Hagg looks like he's on the top pair from all the projections I've seen.

Stolarz has the back up role locked down pretty well.

Morin might get an invite, but he's a long shot to make the team. If he's eligible next year, I would expect that he takes on a huge role as a nineteen year old though.

They should be drafting the BPA. If they have an oppurtunity to draft Ekblad for example, they have to take it. Otherwise, we need skilled wingers who can shoot the puck well.

I imagine Vasiliev is there for Russia as well, one of the only guys eligible playing in the KHL regularly, has been part of the u18 and u19 setup as well.

He was also on the 10 man D list in july and august for the training camp and friendlies and was on the second D pair mostly.

Mironov and Trymakin are probably the only guys ahead of him I imagine... but who knows with the crazy Russians.

Phantoms win their 5th straight game 3-0 over Springfield. VandeVelde, McGinn, & Magene with the goals. Akeson, Noebels, Alt, & Flanagan with the assists. Heeter stopped 26.

Any info on Tyrell Goulbourne? I see he has missed the last few games for Kelowna.

Went to the Albany Devils vs WBS Penguins game last night and Harry Z. scored a goal. Brought back memories of this:

Cal Heeter

I went to an AHL game. I am a springfield falcons fan and I saw them play the Adirondack Phantoms (farm team for the flyers). Cal Heeter was in between the pipes for the phantoms. The falcons for the last 30 minutes were having great chances with and without the power play. Numerous chances in the slot, semi break always, yet all were denied by Heeter. The way the Falcons played hockey in the last 30 minutes of the game, they could have scored 4 goals.

Good to hear, but I still don't think he amounts to anything more than a fringe NHL goalie

I like his name. That's about all I like about him.

Went to the Union game last night, didn't think Union looked to good as a whole. Ghost was so-so wasn't really that involved in many plays. He did look very aggressive so that was my bright spot. Figured I would share my thoughts

Phantoms play the Devils at 5, hopefully they make it 6 in a row.

They won 2-0 over Albany. Goals by Bordson & Holmstrom, assists by Gervais, Brown, Cousins, & Alt. Danis stopped 28.

Terry Murray doing a great job down there with not a whole lot of talent at his disposal.

I would assume it's conservative, as that's Terry Murray's approach. So perhaps.

It's not shocking to see Terry have success at the AHL level. It's such a structured, systems based league because of the lack of talent and constant line up changes. Terry runs a very structured team, even to his detriment at times in the NHL.

The Phantoms are tied for the lead in their division & third in their conference with Hartford but I believe hold the tie breaker between the two currently putting them ahead.

-Phantoms extend their winning streak to 6-games with shutouts on back-to-back nights from both our goalies this weekend. Bordson and Holmstrom with the goals, assisted by Gervais, Brown, Cousins, and Alt.

-Leier came up with a goal in a losing OT effort for the Winterhawks.

-Laughton with an assist.
