How did Pothier score his goals last season?

The caps brought Pothier in for PP help, and he's doing a decent job of racking up assists, but his shot from the point seems a little weak. Did he score his goals by pinching into the slot and taking a wrister? Or did he have a good one timer cannon?

Were his 5 goals a result of being on a secondary PP unit?

He was on the 2nd PP unit with Chara (who was the guy with the cannon). 5 goals isn't really that many goals. I assume a couple were wristers from the point and maybe a couple off of pinches.

Pothier had one of the worst shots on the team last year; he was on the second unit power-play entirely because he was a right handed shot.

Thats why I figured people may remember them. After seeing his goal totals from lst season, I don;t really expect a great deal of goals from him, but I wasnted to see if his goose egg so far this year is a result of him, or the system he has to play in. If his goals were mainly from pinching down into the slot, and the caps won;t let him do that etc etc...

I remember his 2 goals in the playoffs last year were somewhat weak, and were deflections

I seem to recall his goals last year being floaters that the goalie couldn't see because of traffic in front of the net.

Pothier doesn't have a great point shot. At times he missed the net alot but at other times he seemed to be the only guy to actually take point shots that were on the net even if they were not that hard. He scored his 2 goals in the playoff that way.

After watchin Corvo, apart from the first few games when he came back from injury, I would rather have Pothier. Pothier is a much better defensive player.
I for one was very inpressed with Corvo at the beginning.....but not now.

Mistake # 100,021 for Muckler.
