I don't have any experience buying them, but from talking with some folks they seem to sell out almost everygame, and pretty quickly too.

I would say an hour-hour and a half is a safe bet. Depending on the team in town (ie..Red Wings, Preds, east conf. power) an hour and a half would be the best bet to be gauranteed a ticket.

Weekday game get there an hour before and your golden (well..at least you were before we won five straight). Weekend games...at least get there 2 hours before.

Free tip: I have been told that if the line is already outside of the building your pretty much hosed.

Dunno if it has been done since, but I was in line for Hunnington's about 3 hours before the season opener, and one of the ticket manager's came out and asked if anybody wanted $75 lower bowl seats for $30.

Naturally I did. It probably was just a special thing for the opener though, trying to make the place look full.

Just wait till 5 minutes before faceoff and get a nice lower bowl ticket for maybe double that.

Scalpers get antsy close to faceoff. Maybe not for long if the team keeps their winning ways up.

For the games I pick up that aren't on my plan, I've never paid more than $40 for a lower bowl seat from a scalper. I do agree that may well change if the team keeps winning.

I sold two lower bowl section 115 seats to a scalper for $50 each vs. the Hawks on Saturday....they paid the scalper face....$70...times are changing.

Man, you guys are lucky. I was by myself last night, and the guy gave me probably the highest seat that was still $23. I had kind of figured since it was on Versus that I might get lucky too, but nope. There's not a bad seat in the house, but I gotta be honest, the $23 tickets are a rip. Three other times this year I've had $16 seats and they were all better than the $23 tickets.

I don't think $23 from a NHL game is a rip no matter where the seat is.

Obivously it's nice to be able to go to a game for so cheap, but I'm talking actual seat location. I've been to 9 or more home games this season and the location for $23 seats is literally worse than the $16. That's all I'm saying.
