That's what I thought first. But I don't even remember the last time we had a young player with those kind of skill.

The same guy also offer me in another trade Gallagher vs granlund....Haha I have granlund, but tempted again to have a young mtl kid!

When Galchenyuk was asked today how much weight he put on he brushed it off and said it wasn't important. Turns out it was most on the #Habs

@LucGelinasRDS 8m
Alex Galchenyuk est le joueur qui a pris le plus de masse musculaire cet été (+7 livres, total 203) suivi de Lars Eller (+ 6 livres à 215)

Rough Translation : Galchenyuk is the Habs that gained the most muscle mass this summer (+7 pounds, 203 pounds total) followed by Eller (+6 pounds, 215 pounds total)

Not surprised, even before he was drafted there was talk about how insanely in shape he was, a gym rat, and its clear he just loves to work out and put on muscle, such a benefit for him

May I say "Such a benefit for us" ?

Knowing that he's stronger, more experienced and that he should have a bit? more TOI, it's hard not to get excited at its potential production.

I knew he liked to train a LOT and I should have seen that coming, but I'm realizing that he's going to be stronger along the boards, which wasn't his strength last year as far as I recall. It's just nice to know that it should be harder to separate him from the puck!

Can't wait to see him on the ice, hopefully on Sunday!

seven pounds of muscle is no joke. He should be significanty be stronger this year which will pay dividends for him and us. Can't wait.

Guys when Galchenyuk scored that goal and kissed the CH logo I was so proud to be a Habs' fan. This guy is the real deal. Franchise winger.

I won't lie I got chills when I saw him score then kiss the CH logo. I see him wearing a C in a couple of years.

He's leading our forwards in points by the way.

I don't know what people say but HF has him as the #1 prospect in the world. I think we drafted the best player in the draft. Its crazy the guy is still 19. Second behind Subban in points. When he's 22 he should be a perennial leading scorer on the team with 70-90 points.

#1 prospect in the world was a big statement, but definitely the best player of the draft. I always need to remind myself that the kid's only 19. The key for him moving forward will be consistency, which won't be a problem considering his work ethic and compete level.

What is amazing is the chemistry he's developed with Gallagher. One's 19 and the other's 21. They're going to be the face of this franchise offensively for many years to come.

Can't believe no-one posted this out here:

Galchenyuk's explanation for his goal celebration is perfect: “I just love the logo.”

He already is being considered, by having him take part in the summer camp. Would be pretty epic if he made it.
