putting guys in the doghouse for no reason??? That is a pure Sacco move. I've seen him bench entire lines before.

I hope we trade Moulson soon for his sake, I couldn't care less about us benching CoHo and Ennis but Moulson has done nothing to deserve that.

You can't be serious... Look what he did with our best player. He's a one man confidence destroyer who seems to take the joy out the game for players.

Sabres' Moulson: 'It’s the most embarrassed I’ve been in my career'

Matt Moulson stood facing his locker stall, his back to the rest of the dressing room following the Sabres’ debacle in Anaheim. Moulson slowly took off his equipment, hesitant to turn around and look at anyone.

The Buffalo newcomer had just been benched for the final 26:11 and seemingly didn’t know how to act.

“It’s the most embarrassed I’ve been in my career,” Moulson told The Buffalo News.

Sounds like it worked to me.

Nearly a quarter of the season in and the Sabres haven't cracked double digits yet. There's "Man this team is bad" furious and then there's "Soul crushing depression" furious. Fans probably counting down the days until their draft pick and sobbing inconsolably.

I think they're sobbing more uncontrollably than inconsolably.

Although I could be wrong.

Your GM didn't start slamming Vanek to the media to deflect attention from the trade.

I resent this.

Ron is perfectly fine in tanking the team himself, yes Sacco maybe the GOAT tanker, but Ron has done a great job with team so far.

I mean he even has the genius move of benching his "1st" line in the third period of a game. Hoping to see more of this, maybe start your ECHL goalie because Miller was 5 minutes later for practice, switch the player's sticks because they didn't hit the net enough in warmup or even make them wear tootoos on the ice for team bonding.

THE TANK IS ON!

You're doing it wrong, Rolston. You've gotta go the Mike Keenan route and play them the whole period like Keenan did with that one guy for 7 minutes.

Scotty Bowman once pulled the goalie wiht around 10 minutes left in the third period as a way to make his players play harder. He was the king of soul crushing a-holes with his GM power trip in Buffalo.

Rolston is an idiot and brought in another idiot to lean on for his "experience" in Sacco. The guy I feel for is Teppo Numminen who is attached to these two ****-birds and has done a relatively good job getting way too many rookie defensemen to play to some degree at the NHL level (three many nights with Pysyk, Ristolainen, and Zadorov). Sacco runs the PK and they are a mess there too.

Worst staff in hockey, bar none.

How Ron Rolston got to become their full-time coach I'll never know. I figure he's as good as gone next season.

What coach would you recommend over him for tanking? He seems to be performing his job duties pretty well. It's tough competition against Florida, Philly, and Edmonton and right now he has this team beating them.

If I'm Matt Moulson, I just politely smile and nod at my coach for the rest of my short duration there. Thank the Sabres for the opportunity at the next trade presser. Then skate off with my new team and never look in the rear-view mirror a single time.

They are in last place. What else is there left to try. Desperate team, desperate coach. Why not.
