Hornqivst may have just bought everyone some time. Three straight shutouts (and a fourth is a distinct possibility) would have made the seats a little hotter for everyone. Players, Trotz, Poile...everyone.
Very little to build upon in this game. No offensive structure evident since Winnipeg (and that was lacking in spite of the numerous shots) ... too many defensive lapses ... rebounds laying around no matter who is in goal ...
I almost wish we hadn't scored so it would have been more embarrassing.
It's times like these where the captain needs to call a closed door meeting and figure out what is wrong. Hopefully Weber can get the guys going again. We beat Colorado, who is 14-2. We are better than this. Not good, but better than a combined 13-1 loss to the Jets, Devils, and Isles. (that hurt me to type)
