honestly to this point I think Weber being traded would net us a great return that would help us offensively. Let's be real here, poile (if he continues as GM after this season) is going to continue to draft 2-3 d-men in the draft. We could sign a top 2 or top 4 d-man this upcoming offseason to fill the gap (somewhat).

Trade weber, get big offensive weapons in return along with a top 4 d-man and some picks and draft some offensive guys too. We can call up Jarvinen to fill the 3rd pairing and roll with that.

Also, at the deadline off some dead weight. Hendricks, Spaling, and Cullen.
Put Josi and Jones on the top pairing or whoever we get in the trade with Weber.

I'm in favor of a blow up at this point and I'm of the same opinion that Weber thought he was outta here and was perfectly ok with it.

Maybe it is because I pay to watch this stuff, but I am not in favor of a blow up. I am in favor of finding some goaltending to relax our guys. We have good pieces. We work hard. I think many thought these kids were gonna play like vets. They need to grow still. It's a long season.

you're right. I'm kind of 50/50 with leaning towards a blow up.

now this is totally hypothetical but just let me know what you think about this trade proposal if we were to shop weber or trade him. (veryyyyy unlikely i know). I was kicking the idea around with a buddy of mine.

ANA: Weber & Ellis
NSH: Fowler, Lindholm, Vatanen, Etem, Bonino, 2 1st's

I think its similar to asking what we asked for from Philly. (i know it was rejected, or thats what was said)

and for cap and roster space we'd probably have to find a home for spaling and hendricks but i'm ok with that. Etem is an offensive stud or soon will be. Fowler is top 2 i think, lindholm and vatanen will at least produce 1 top 2 out of them but they are both playing at the NHL level. I think josi-fowler, jones-klein, lindholm-vatanen would be really nice. Only thing is Ekholm would be the 7th.

Don't kill me if you don't like it. I just wanted to see.

Goaltending wasn't the issue last night. We got outworked for 55 minutes until we scored and THEN we decided to show up. That's not on the goalie, it's on the 18 skaters. NY was all over us the entire game.

Agreed. I just think he packs it in when we start going south. While value is still there, I'd love that package from Anaheim.
