Toronto has the potential next year: Big spendings, upgraded stadium, new management. If they fail, I think even hardcore fans will just stop supporting the team. Imagine if the Impact would suck for 8 years in a row?

The Argos are being kicked out of the Skydome. The plan would be to have them at BMO Field.

I hope they're not changing the turf to an artificial one!

No wonder Ferrari and Nesta are there, they spend the game passing to each other because our midfield can't create ****.

haha.

http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/co...C-s-pursuit-of

SO it seems that Gilardino seriously was considering TFC, but:

Quote:
According to multiple people with knowledge of the situation, several influential people in Toronto's Italian community either reached out, or were contacted by Gilardino's management group to give input. Their message was nearly uniform--stay away.
idiots.

screwing with the deal like that is cutting your nose to spite your face. TFC made this mess, but their community is not helping...

In better news, Joey! Another Italian's on the market!

We could use him in a 2 strikers system with Di Vaio but it's not a priority. Also he shouldnt be making more than Di Vaio. TFC were giving him 3 millions a year. Di Vaio makes 2 millions.

Cheap move by them, but they said the truth after all.

We're overreliant on Di Vaio. If hes our only proved striker next season, we're screwed.

A 2 striker system ain't worth crap if you don'y have a good #10 playing behind them IMO.

Not necessarily playing two up front. More for rotation purposes. I'm not a huge Madrid fan, but take the example of Madrid last year with Benzema and Higuain. Madrid always played a 4231 IIRC. They barely played Higuain and Benzema together. Having two competent strikers doesn't mean you NEED to play them together. It just gives you more options, such as rotating and keeping legs fresh, or having an extra offensive option when you need a goal or some energy rather than relying on wingers to do everything.

Yeah ok, but who's our Xabi Alonso or our Ozil?

And who's our Ronaldo? It's hard to emulate top clubs tactics because those clubs have players who are way more complete and because of their qualities, bring much more depth to a tactic. Way too many players in an MLS squad are unidimentional.

Let's count the golden opportunities missed by Portugal.

So I misunderstood PB8. Bernier didn't retire from CanMNT.

Patrice Bernier ‏@pbernier10 10m
@Laurmayne no. I said they are looking in a new direction and that it was normal but I am still here if needed.
