If you are going to comment on other teams issues which is fine just expect to gets shots back at your own team, especially when it's Nashville.

Is this a joke? The great prospect you traded for Eric Lindros would be Kim Johnsson.

For Bure, you shipped out a first rounder, and for what?

Mike Dunham cost you Marek Zidlcky, who's having a fantastic rookie season. Hell, just Johnsson and Zidlicky alone on your blueline would be a huge improvement.

For Kovalev, you coughed up Rico Fata, who last season OUTSCORED Kovy after the trade!

Speaking of Fire, Lindros is on fire, I can't think of a better time to trade him..
Boughner would make sense as a stop-gap, though I wonder about him getting significant minutes on D. He's an asset if he sees 15 mins or so. Beyond that...

Losing Kasparaitus is big. I thought he played very solidly for the majority of this season. Your D collectively lacks mobility to begin with, and Leetch looks a tad slower since his return.

Regarding "The Big E" (for enigma) :p : funny how after a 1 1/2 year hiatus he suddenly time warps back to 1995 coinciding with the ever-popular contract run. Your point about his trade value is spot on; however, Mr. Sather realizes that his own career in NY may ride on this team making the playoffs and #88 currently is his last best chance to squeak in. That is, NYR is going to ride his coatails to the playoffs or put up the white flag. Surely, some fans would prefer the latter and to finally start the "rebuilding," but that is a word that does not exist in the MSG vocabulary.

***

NYR apparently took that 70s night theme too literally last night. The team played like the Rangers teams who wore those jerseys in the mid-70s under John Ferguson!

Does Glen Sather make you breakfast in the morning? Why are you so high on this guy? I don't understand! Neil Smith won a cup here dude! Sather has done SQUAT except bring in or back veterans at the end of their careers or players who are trying to jumpstart them again!

Get used to it. That seems to be the trend in the Rangers board. And this is coming from a Ranger fan. Don't voice an opinion that may disagree with someone elses here. You'll get warnings and verbally abused in private messages. Then all fingers will point in your direction.

Oh stop whining.

Just b/c you are unable to expand upon the only thing you ever post which is "we suck, this guy sucks, that guy sucks" without ever coming up with any logical ways to address things such as what guys should be targeted for a potential trade, what the PP should do differently to become more effective, what will fix the PK etc... don't blame more informed people for ripping you on it.

Well, Nashville is looking pretty solid for the future. Very different complexion from Atlanta, but they have a lot of drafted talent in Hartnell, Hamhuis, Upshall, Tootoo, and Suter -- without drafting nearly as highly as Atlanta. They've also made some very shrewd personnel moves, picking up Vokoun, Walker, Zidlicky, and Timonen for very cheap.

They were in the hunt for a playoff spot last year, before fading in the stretch, but this year sit in 6th place in the Western Conference. Atlanta, for the record, has 6 fewer points and currently sits in 9th place.

Perhaps you were being sarcastic (and I missed it), but Nashville has built a solid future, and they are destined for good things for a while to come.
